Kalandula Falls are waterfalls in the municipality of Kalandula, Malanje Province, Angola. On the Lucala River, the falls are 105 meters high and 400 meters wide. They are one of the largest waterfalls by volume in Africa. The distance from Luanda is 360 km.
Best Time to Visit Kalandula Falls
The rainy season, February to April, is the best time to see Calandula Falls in its full strength and volume. This season may however prove challenging as walking on the rocks and around the river is quite slippery. During the floods, the mist can be seen from far.
During the dry season, enjoy strolling for hours around the Calandula Falls.
