What to expect

It flies to 89 destinations from Belgrade, mostly in Europe and the Balkans, plus long-haul flights to New York, and suits travellers heading to Serbia or connecting through Belgrade between the Balkans, Western Europe and North America.

Nearly a century of history

The airline traces its roots to Aeroput, founded on 17 June 1927. The national airline later flew as JAT and then Jat Airways. In 2013 it was restructured and rebranded as Air Serbia, with Etihad Airways as a strategic partner. The Serbian government held most of the shares from 2020 and took full ownership in November 2023.

Belgrade is the base for nearly all flights. Niš is a focus city with nine routes, and Morava Airport near Kraljevo has three. The short-haul network covers the Balkans and most major European capitals and holiday coasts. The long-haul route is New York JFK, and Chicago O'Hare and Miami are planned for 2027. In 2025 Air Serbia carried about 4.57 million passengers and earned revenue of roughly €719 million.
