Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh

Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh is a five-star beach resort at 1 Four Seasons Boulevard in El-Salam, near Shark's Bay on Egypt's Red Sea coast, north of central Sharm El Sheikh. It opened in May 2002, designed by Hill/Glazier Architects, and has about 1 km of private beach and a jetty out to the coral reef. Families, snorkellers and divers book it, and Sharm El Sheikh International Airport (SSH) is about 3.8 km away.

Room types across 289 rooms, chalets and suites

The resort has 289 rooms in all: 169 guest rooms, 64 chalets and villas, 52 suites and four signature suites. Deluxe rooms of about 70 m² have a king bed and partial sea views. One-bedroom suites of about 120 m² add a living area, and some have a private plunge pool. Two-bedroom sea-view residences suit families. Everything is non-smoking, with air conditioning, a minibar and free Wi-Fi. Guests get around the hillside property by buggy.

Arabesque, Zitouni and the other restaurants

Arabesque and Zitouni cook Middle Eastern food, Bullona serves Mediterranean dinners and Waha covers Mediterranean and Italian dishes. Il Frantoio is the Italian restaurant, Yatai is Japanese and pan-Asian, Luna serves Latin flavours by the pool and Reef Grill cooks meat and seafood over the fire. Zitouni focuses on traditional Lebanese dishes. For drinks there are Breeze, Citadel Lounge, the Observatory Lounge for wine and the seasonal Sails Lounge. The breakfast buffet runs from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM and costs about EGP 5,174 per adult and EGP 3,014 per child aged 17 and under when not in the rate.

Reef, pools and sport

The jetty, about 380 m from the main building, leads to the reef for snorkelling and diving, and Sinai Blues Diving Center is on site. Sailing is offered too. There are four pools and a children's pool, a spa with 13 treatment rooms (two of them private suites with their own sauna and whirlpool), an outdoor lap pool, a sauna and a salon, a fitness centre of about 880 m², and tennis and basketball courts.

Kids For All Seasons runs a supervised indoor and outdoor programme for ages 4 to 12, and there is a teen centre. Childcare costs extra.

Shark's Bay, SOHO Square and airport transfers

Shark's Bay Beach is about 780 m away. SOHO Square, with its dancing fountain, is about 820 m, and the Khan El Khalili bazaar in Sharm about 750 m. Airport transfers can be booked for a fee.

For conferences and weddings the resort has about 4,990 m² of event space across eight venues, including the 725 m² Tiran Ballroom.
