An 1822 hospital turned bar and hotel
The house dates from 1822 and is described as a former Dutch and Ayurvedic hospital about 200 years old. Its current owners turned it into a bar, restaurant, shop and hotel in 2016.
Wednesday and Saturday parties and the twilight market
Wednesday and Saturday are party nights, with entry paid at the door; the Wednesday surf-camp night runs 6 pm to midnight for LKR 2,000. A twilight market runs every second Saturday, and the SOLA electronic music festival is scheduled for 29 and 30 January 2027.
Bungalows and dorm beds in the garden
Beachside bungalows and air-conditioned dorms sit in the garden, with dorm beds from USD 10 and bungalows from USD 48. Check-in is 2 pm to 10 pm. On-site parking is for hotel guests; diners park on the street.
