Carnival Cruise Line
Carnival Cruise Line is a cruise line sailing in the Caribbean. bookingMentor lists 5 ships and 5 cruises from this line. Sailings leave from Miami, Galveston and Tampa.
Carnival Cruise Line is one of the largest cruise lines in the world by passengers carried, sailing a fleet of over 25 ships from homeports across North America and Australia. The line built its reputation on short, affordable Caribbean and Bahamas itineraries out of Florida, and carries a great many first-time cruisers every year.
Ships are organised around a central atrium with the pool deck, waterworks and the main dining rooms stacked above it. Many homeports run a mix of three, four and seven-night sailings, so the line suits a long weekend as readily as a full week. Dining in the main restaurants and the buffet is included in the fare, along with the theatre, the pools, the fitness centre and the kids clubs, which are split by age from two through seventeen.
Cabins run from interior rooms of around 185 square feet through ocean view, balcony and suites, with a growing number of family-connecting configurations. Fares are quoted per person based on two sharing; third and fourth guests in the same cabin pay a reduced rate.
What is not in the fare: alcohol, speciality restaurants, shore excursions, spa treatments, WiFi and gratuities, which are charged at a fixed rate per person per night and added to your onboard account. Taxes, fees and port expenses are shown separately in the price summary before you pay.

Carnival Horizon
Carnival Horizon is a Vista-class Carnival cruise ship based in Miami, Florida, and it suits families and groups of friends who want a busy, playful ship on a week or less in the Caribbean. She entered service in 2018 and carries 3,960 guests across 14 passenger decks. Horizon is the second of three Vista-class sisters, between Carnival Vista and Carnival Panorama. The open-air top decks are where most of the action is. Deck 14 has the SkyRide, a pedal-powered bike track hung above the ship, next to the SkyCourse ropes course. Two decks down, Dr. Seuss WaterWorks gives younger children their own slides and splash area, and the Serenity adult retreat on deck 15 is the quiet corner for guests aged 21 and over. Indoors, the IMAX theatre on deck 7 shows full-size films (tickets are extra). Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse | Brewhouse serves smoked meats with beer brewed on board, and the Havana area on deck 5 has its own Cuban-style bar and cabins. Cabins run from interior staterooms of about 185 sq ft through ocean view and balcony rooms to suites. Families should look at Family Harbor on deck 2, which has cabins sized for larger groups and a private lounge. From PortMiami the ship sails Caribbean itineraries; see the sailings below for current dates and ports.

Carnival Celebration
Carnival Celebration is an Excel-class Carnival cruise ship sailing from Miami, Florida, built for travellers who want the line's biggest ships and newest features on a seven-night Caribbean cruise. She entered service in 2022 and carries 5,374 guests across 18 passenger decks. Celebration is the second Excel-class ship, after Mardi Gras and before Carnival Jubilee, and like her sisters she runs on liquefied natural gas. The ship is split into themed zones. At the very top, deck 19 holds BOLT, an open-air roller coaster that runs around the funnel (rides are charged), along with the LOFT 19 cabanas. Deck 18 brings together the WaterWorks slides, the sports area and the Serenity adult retreat. Lower down, deck 8 is the promenade, where the Cuban-themed Havana area has its own bar and pool for Havana cabin guests. The lobby, lounges and shops sit on deck 6, and the casino on deck 7. Cabin choices go from interior staterooms of about 185 sq ft to ocean view, balcony and suites. Family Harbor on deck 4 has cabins and a lounge for families with young children. With so many guests on board, book speciality dining and shows early in the cruise. Current sailings from PortMiami are listed below.

Carnival Jubilee
Carnival Jubilee is an Excel-class Carnival cruise ship based in Galveston, Texas, and she is the easiest way for travellers in Texas and the central US to sail one of the line's largest ships without flying to Florida. She entered service in December 2023 and carries 5,374 guests across 18 passenger decks. Jubilee is the third Excel-class ship, a sister of Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration, and she is powered by liquefied natural gas. She shares the class's headline features. BOLT, the open-air roller coaster on deck 19, costs extra per ride. Deck 18 has the WaterWorks slides and splash zones, the sports area and the Serenity adult retreat. On deck 8 the promenade combines Havana, the Cuban-style area with its own pool, and The Shores, a zone that sets Jubilee apart from her sisters. The lobby, shops and lounges are on deck 6 and the casino is on deck 7. Staterooms range from interior cabins of about 185 sq ft to ocean view, balcony and suites, with Family Harbor cabins and a family lounge on deck 4. From Galveston the ship sails Western Caribbean routes; check the sailings below for dates, ports and fares.

Carnival Paradise
Carnival Paradise is a Fantasy-class Carnival cruise ship sailing from Tampa, Florida. She suits first-time cruisers, couples and budget-minded families who want a short, easy Western Caribbean trip on a mid-sized ship. Built in 1998, she carries 2,124 guests across 11 passenger decks. Paradise was the last of the eight Fantasy-class ships Carnival built in the 1990s, and today she is one of only two still sailing for the line, with Carnival Elation. At 2,124 guests she is less than half the size of the line's newest ships, so walks from cabin to dining room are short and the pool deck fills up less quickly than on the mega ships. The Lido deck (deck 10) has the main pool and casual food. Deck 11 holds the WaterWorks slides and splash area next to the kids club, and the spa, gym and more waterslides are on deck 12. Shops, the casino and the Serenity retreat for guests aged 21 and over line deck 9, and the dining rooms are on deck 8. Cabins come in four types: interior (about 185 sq ft), ocean view, balcony and suite. Paradise does not have the roller coasters or IMAX screens of newer ships, and the fares usually reflect that. Tampa is a short drive from much of central Florida, which makes this ship a practical choice for a four- or five-night break. See the sailings below.
Deck 15 – Sundeck

Public Areas
The water park on deck 11, with slides and splash areas.
A quiet outdoor area for guests aged 21 and over.
Carnival Conquest
Carnival Conquest is the lead ship of Carnival's Conquest class, sailing short Bahamas and Caribbean cruises from Miami, Florida. She is a good fit for travellers who want a quick three- or four-night getaway at a moderate fare. She entered service in 2002 and carries 2,984 guests across 13 passenger decks. Conquest gave her name to a class of five ships that were among the largest in the fleet when they were built. Today she sits in the middle of Carnival's range by size: big enough for a full choice of bars, lounges and shows, small enough to learn the layout in a day. Most of the evening life is on deck 5, where the lounges, casino and shops line the promenade. Dining rooms are on decks 3 and 4, and the teens club is on deck 4. Up top, the Lido deck (deck 9) has the pools and casual food, deck 10 has the waterslide, and deck 11 has the spa and sports area. The Serenity retreat for guests aged 21 and over stretches across decks 12 and 14, with the kids club and sundeck also on deck 12. Cabins run from interior staterooms of about 185 sq ft to ocean view, balcony and suites. The sailings below show current dates from PortMiami.

Travelers are asking
One bottle of wine or champagne per adult at embarkation, plus a 12-pack of cans of soft drink or water in your hand luggage. Spirits and beer are held at the gangway and returned on the last night.
Gratuities are charged per person per night and added to your onboard account. You can prepay at booking, which locks the rate in even if it rises before you sail.
For a round-trip sailing from a US port you can often travel on a birth certificate and photo ID, but a passport is the only document that lets you fly home if you miss the ship. Bring one.
Clubs are split by age from 2 to 17 and run morning until late evening at no charge. Night nursery for under-2s is charged hourly and books out fast, so reserve on day one.
No. Wi-Fi plans are sold on board, from messaging-only plans up to plans for streaming. Coverage is satellite, so it slows noticeably in port and in heavy weather.
Daytime is casual throughout. The main dining room asks for smart casual in the evening, with an optional elegant night on longer sailings.
Yes, at the shore excursions desk, but the popular ones sell out before sailing. Booking with the line in advance guarantees the ship waits for you if the tour runs late.
Boarding opens around 11:00 AM and closes before departure; your e-ticket gives your arrival time. Most guests fly in the night before, because the ship does not wait for delayed flights.
Every ship carries accessible staterooms, with wider doors, roll-in showers and no thresholds. They must be booked directly so the line can verify need.
Itineraries change for weather or port traffic. The line substitutes another port or a sea day where it can; prepaid excursions with the line for the missed port are refunded.
