In short

Emporium is a luxury mall on Sukhumvit Road at Soi 24, beside Benchasiri Park, linked by footbridge to Phrom Phong BTS station. It opened in July 1997 and is run by The Mall Group as part of its EM District with EmQuartier. Entry is free, and it was one of the first luxury malls on this stretch of Sukhumvit.

Emporium stands on Sukhumvit Road at Soi 24 in the Khlong Toei district of Bangkok, beside Benchasiri Park. It is linked directly by footbridge to Phrom Phong station on the BTS Skytrain Sukhumvit Line.

The mall opened on 27 July 1997 and is owned and run by The Mall Group, which also operates Siam Paragon and EmQuartier. It was one of the first luxury malls in Bangkok and was designed by the firm J+H Boiffils.

Emporium is the oldest part of the EM District, a group of three malls along this stretch of Sukhumvit Road that also includes EmQuartier across the road and EmSphere. The complex holds international luxury and fashion brands, a department store, a high-end supermarket, a food hall, children's play areas, a cinema, an exhibition hall, an office building and a hotel.

The upper floors include TK Park, a public learning library, and spaces used for events and exhibitions. Restaurants range from casual Thai to international dining, and the food hall is popular with office workers.

The mall is open daily from late morning to the evening and entry is free. Tourists can usually claim VAT refunds on qualifying purchases.

How large is Emporium? The shopping building has seven floors above a basement, and beside it rises the 41-storey Emporium Tower of offices and serviced space. The anchor is the Emporium department store, joined by Gourmet Market, a supermarket with a food hall, the Emprivé Cineclub, a small luxury cinema run by SF Corporation, and Roller Dome.

EmSphere, the third mall of the group, opened in December 2023 on the far side of Benchasiri Park, so all three EM District buildings can now be covered on foot from Phrom Phong station. Many visitors use Emporium for a quieter lunch before crossing to the busier EmQuartier.

Benchasiri Park, between the malls, has a lake, sculptures and a jogging path and is pleasant early in the morning or after sunset.
