Hotel Arts Barcelona is a five-star, 44-storey Ritz-Carlton hotel on the seafront at Port Olímpic, Barcelona, beside Frank Gehry's golden fish sculpture from the 1992 Olympic Games. It suits travellers who want large rooms with sea views, a beach a short walk away and serious dining without leaving the building.
Bruce Graham of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed the tower, which opened in 1994 as the first Ritz-Carlton managed hotel in Europe. The brand still runs it. The 483 rooms and suites are large for a city hotel: standard rooms measure about 45 m², corner rooms about 60 m² and one-bedroom suites around 72 m². Floor-to-ceiling windows face the Mediterranean or the city. Club rooms on the upper floors include lounge access, and accessible rooms are available.
Enoteca Paco Pérez holds two Michelin stars for its Mediterranean tasting menus, but the official site lists it as temporarily closed, so check before planning a dinner there. Marina Coastal Food serves seafood and tapas, and Bites & Sips covers coffee and light meals. The breakfast buffet caters for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal diets. There are two outdoor pools: a family pool for all ages and the adults-only Gehry infinity pool, with food and drinks served poolside during the day.
