Plage de la Roquille is a sandy town beach in Cap d'Agde on the Hérault coast, beside the small Roquille marina and close to the resort centre. It holds the Blue Flag and accessibility labels, with step-free paths and water sports, so it suits families and visitors with reduced mobility. Access is free at all times, with summer lifeguards in the northern part. Allow half a day.
Plage de la Roquille is a sandy town beach in Cap d'Agde, the seaside resort of Agde in the Hérault on the Mediterranean coast of Occitanie. It lies close to the resort centre beside the small Roquille marina and holds both the Blue Flag and the Tourisme et Handicap labels, so it suits families and visitors with reduced mobility who want a supervised, fully equipped beach.
La Roquille continues the Plage du Môle, about 800 m away, and widens as it runs east. It is about 1.5 km from the main port of Cap d'Agde. The beach is mainly sand with a promenade alongside, though the southern end toward the Môle is rocky, wilder and outside the supervised area. Swim in the northern part, where the lifeguards are.
According to the Hérault tourism listing, the lifeguard post is staffed from 11:00 to 18:30 between 14 May and 20 September 2026. The beach itself is open all year.
Beach directories list showers, toilets, sunbed rental, cafés and restaurants, a children's club and water-sports equipment for hire. The local nautical centre runs sailing and kitesurfing, and the beach also has volleyball and pedal boats in season.
