Malaysia eVISA from Bangladesh
About the Malaysia eVISA from Bangladesh
Bangladeshi citizens need a visa for Malaysia and apply for it online, on the official MYVISA portal. The single-entry eVISA allows a stay of up to 30 days, costs RM 125 in official fees (RM 20 visa fee and RM 105 processing fee) and is usually decided within 2 to 7 working days.
Bangladesh is one of the countries whose citizens must get an eVISA before visiting Malaysia. There is no counter to visit: the High Commission of Malaysia in Dhaka sends every applicant to the MYVISA portal, where you register, fill in the form, upload your documents and pay online. Once it is approved, you print the eVISA on A4 paper and show it at the Malaysian checkpoint.
For a holiday or a family visit you need the single-entry eVISA for a social visit. It allows a stay of up to 30 days on one trip. Processing takes 2 to 7 working days once payment and every document are in, not counting weekends and Malaysian public holidays. If the immigration officer asks for more documents or an interview, the count starts again, and you have 5 days to reply.
The official fees are RM 20 for the visa and RM 105 for processing, which the High Commission puts at roughly BDT 600 and BDT 2,500. Card payments add 0.8% and e-wallets 1.7%. None of these payments is refunded, even if the eVISA is refused.
