Rambagh Palace is a five-star Taj hotel in a former royal residence on Bhawani Singh Road in Rambagh, Jaipur, a few kilometres south of the walled Pink City. Rambagh began in 1835 as a small garden house built for the wet nurse of Prince Ram Singh II. Under Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II it grew into a royal hunting lodge and guesthouse, and in the early 20th century it was enlarged into a full palace. From 1925 it was the main residence of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II, who was crowned here in 1931. He turned the palace into a hotel in the 1950s, and on 2 May 1972 its management passed to Taj Hotels. The building sits in more than 47 acres of Mughal-style gardens with fountains, lotus ponds and reflecting pools, and the interiors keep hand-painted ceilings and Venetian glass chandeliers.
The range starts with Palace rooms overlooking the gardens and moves up through historical suites to the grand presidential suite. Rooms are non-smoking, with a minibar, a TV, air conditioning and a bathroom with a separate tub and shower. Wi-Fi is free.

Suvarna Mahal is the main dining hall. The Rajput Room serves Rajasthani cooking and the Verandah Cafe handles lighter meals. There are two bars plus a poolside bar.
