Sylhet Tea Country and Jaflong, 2 Days
Sylhet Tea Country and Jaflong, 2 Days is a 2-day, 1-night package that stays in Sylhet and Jaflong. It is run by Karnafully Travel Inc. Prices start at $95.00 per person on twin sharing.
Sylhet Tea Country and Jaflong is a two-day introduction to north-east Bangladesh, combining rolling tea estates, a revered Sufi shrine and clear rivers at the foot of the Khasi hills on the Meghalaya border. It suits couples, families and small groups of 4 to 14 who arrive in Sylhet by train or plane.
The first day stays close to the city, among the gardens where commercial tea in Bangladesh began and at the shrine of Hazrat Shah Jalal, the 14th-century saint whose compound is known for its sacred fish and pigeons. The second day heads about 60 km out to the border rivers for a slower, scenic day by the water. Timing matters: October to March is best, and river levels drop sharply from late March. Stone extraction has damaged the riverbeds at Jaflong, so please buy nothing made from river stone and leave the stones where they lie. It makes a relaxed weekend away from Dhaka.

General
No. Zero Point is a viewing area beside the border. The nearest land port is Tamabil, a few kilometres away, and crossing there needs an Indian visa and a separate exit; it is not part of this tour.
Light. Around 2 km on flat garden roads at Malnicherra and some walking on loose stones at Jaflong. Shoes with a good grip are better than sandals on the river stones.
Both are tied to legends about the saint. Visitors feed the catfish and snakeheads in the tank, and the Jalali pigeons around the compound are left unharmed.
