The Oberoi Amarvilas is a five-star hotel of 102 rooms and suites on Taj East Gate Road in Tajganj, Agra, about 600 metres from the Taj Mahal. It opened in 2001 and was renovated in 2012. Rooms and suites are laid out to face the Taj Mahal. Premier rooms are offered with or without a balcony, and the suites add a separate living area. The six categories run from Premier Room through Deluxe Suite and Luxury Suite to the Kohinoor Suite at the top. The hotel says every room and suite has an unrestricted view of the monument. Every room has a king bed, a bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower, a minibar, a TV, a safe and free Wi-Fi.
