Raffles Singapore is a five-star, all-suite hotel at 1 Beach Road, Singapore. The Sarkies Brothers founded it in 1887, and it is now a National Monument with Neo-Renaissance architecture from the early 1900s. Every one of the 115 suites has a personal butler. It suits travellers celebrating an occasion and anyone who wants Singapore's colonial history and its best-known bar under one roof.
The 1887 opening and the Singapore Sling
Raffles opened on 1 December 1887 with ten rooms. Bartender Ngiam Tong Boon created the Singapore Sling at the Long Bar, which moved to its current spot in the shopping arcade during the 1991 restoration. That restoration also turned every room into a suite. The hotel became a National Monument in 1987. Its most recent restoration began in 2017 and the hotel reopened on 1 August 2019, with the number of suites rising from 103 to 115.
115 suites with butler service
The hotel has only suites, 115 in total, each looked after by a personal butler. Extra bed and crib rules vary by suite type. Wi-Fi is free.
1887 by André, yì and the Long Bar
1887 by André serves contemporary French cuisine, and 藝 yì by Jereme Leung serves refined Chinese food. Butcher's Block cooks over wood fire, the Tiffin Room serves North Indian dishes and Raffles Courtyard serves casual Asian food. Afternoon tea is served in The Grand Lobby. The Long Bar and the Writers Bar complete the line-up. Breakfast is a buffet. From 1 June 2026 pets are welcome at the Raffles Courtyard bar.

Raffles Spa offers body and facial treatments and personal training. There is an outdoor pool and a fitness area.

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is about 19 km by road, around 25 minutes by car. Taxis and private transfers can be arranged, and the MRT and direct buses also connect the airport with the city.
