Baroiyadhala National Park is a 2,933-hectare hill forest in Sitakunda Upazila, Chattogram District, east of the Dhaka to Chattogram Highway, declared a national park on 6 April 2010. It holds Khoiyachora and other waterfalls, and suits hikers ready for stream-bed trails with a local guide.

2,933 hectares of hill forest corridor

The park covers about 2,933.61 hectares and is an IUCN category II protected area. It guards a strip of hill forest that forms a wildlife corridor in a region where natural forest is shrinking. Ridges and valleys are cut by rocky streams that drop over a chain of waterfalls during and after the monsoon.

Serow, pangolin and kalij pheasant

Recorded animals include the mainland serow, barking deer, marbled cat, Assamese macaque, Chinese pangolin and kalij pheasant, with many smaller animals and birds.

Khoiyachora, Napittachora and Komoldoho trails

Khoiyachora Waterfall, one of the best known in Bangladesh, lies inside the park. The Napittachora and Komoldoho trails follow stream beds to several more falls. Walks last from a couple of hours to most of a day, with water crossings and slippery rock.
