Sohosrodhara

Suptadhara is a seasonal waterfall inside Sitakunda Eco Park in the Chandranath Reserve Forest, at its fullest in the monsoon and nearly dry for much of the year. Access is through the eco park, whose gate hours and fees were not confirmed. Two to three hours covers both falls, ideally during or just after the rains.
Suptadhara Waterfall is a seasonal fall inside Sitakunda Eco Park, Sitakunda upazila, Chattogram district, Bangladesh, about 35 km north of Chattogram city. It is only worth visiting in the monsoon and suits walkers who combine it with Sohosrodhara, a short distance away in the same park.
The fall sits in evergreen hill forest of the Chandranath Reserve Forest, east of the Dhaka to Chattogram highway. The eco park around it was declared in 1998, and the Forest Department describes it as the first in Bangladesh. Chandranath Hill is about 4 km away and Sitakunda Bazar about 3 km.
Supta means sleeping, and for much of the year the fall is little more than a damp rock face. In the monsoon the hill streams fill and the water comes down strongly into a pool, with ferns and moss on the surrounding walls. In winter a visit is more of a forest walk.
The path branches off the park's main road and drops into a shaded gorge where the ground stays damp and slippery, with some steps. The forest has tall garjan and other evergreen trees, and monkeys and many birds live in the park.
