Yoshihiro Narisawa's innovative restaurant in Minami-Aoyama, with two MICHELIN stars and a Green Star. One seasonal tasting course built around Japan's countryside suits adult diners; it is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Narisawa is chef Yoshihiro Narisawa's innovative Japanese restaurant in the Minamiaoyama Garden Court building, 2-6-15 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo. It holds two Michelin stars and a Green Star for sustainability. It suits adult diners who want a single seasonal tasting course built around Japan's countryside. The restaurant is about four minutes on foot from Exit 5 of Aoyama-itchome Station on the Ginza, Hanzomon and Oedo lines.
Satoyama and Narisawa's best-known dishes
Satoyama is the Japanese idea of people living in balance with the countryside around them, and Narisawa, who trained in French cooking, builds the menu on it. His best known creation is the Bread of the Forest, a wild yeast dough that rises at the table in a stone bowl and is served with moss butter. Earlier menus featured edible landscapes such as Satoyama Landscape. The current tasting menu follows the seasons with squid, crab, eel, langoustine and wagyu.

Michelin stars, rankings and price
Narisawa has held two Michelin stars since 2009. It was number 1 on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants in 2013 and number 21 on The World's 50 Best Restaurants in 2025. The official website does not publish the course price; it is shown on the OMAKASE booking page when you reserve, and drinks are extra.
Narisawa also has a restaurant in Shanghai, listed on the official site.
