What to expect

Cebu Pacific is the trading name of Cebu Air, Inc., a Philippine low-cost airline founded in 1988 that flew its first service, Manila to Cebu, in March 1996. It is controlled by the JG Summit group, flies an all-Airbus jet fleet and keeps aircraft at five Philippine bases: Manila, Clark, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo. Short domestic hops are handed to Cebgo, its turboprop subsidiary.

Bangkok is the only Thai city on the current schedule, but it is reached from five Philippine airports and the airline uses both of the capital's airports. From Manila there are flights to Suvarnabhumi and to Don Mueang. Clark flights use Suvarnabhumi, while Cebu flights use Don Mueang. Davao and Iloilo services to Don Mueang were paused during 2026; Davao is due back on 26 October 2026 and Iloilo on 23 November 2026, with the first return from Bangkok the next day. Compare options on our Bangkok to Manila flights and Manila to Bangkok flights pages.

Travellers arriving in Bangkok on a long-haul flight, or on routes such as Dhaka to Bangkok, land at Suvarnabhumi, where the Manila and Clark departures also leave. A Don Mueang departure means crossing Bangkok between airports, which needs a generous gap on separate tickets. For a full-service alternative, see Philippine Airlines.

Outside Thailand, the network covers Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, several Vietnamese and Japanese cities, Kaohsiung, Dubai, Sydney and Melbourne. Its widebody Airbus A330neo jets work the longest sectors.

How big is Cebu Pacific?

Cebu Pacific is the largest airline in the Philippines by fleet and has carried more passengers than Philippine Airlines since 2010. It flew 24.5 million passengers in 2024, against 6.7 million in 2008, and reported revenue of ₱104.9 billion and a net income of ₱5.4 billion that year after heavy losses in 2020 and 2021. Cebu Air was founded on 26 August 1988, began flying on 8 March 1996 and listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange in 2010. Cebu Pacific is a subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings; Lance Gokongwei is chairman; Michael Szucs is chief executive.

Subsidiaries and expansion

Cebgo was formed in May 2015 after Cebu Pacific bought Tigerair Philippines. In October 2024 the group agreed to buy AirSWIFT for ₱1.75 billion, and it has since been folded into Cebgo. On 2 October 2024 Cebu Pacific placed a firm order for 70 Airbus A321neos with options on 82 more, part of a deal worth up to about US$24 billion at list prices. In 2025 it began leasing aircraft with crew to Saudi Arabia's flyadeal, and in July 2026 it announced plans for Starlink Wi-Fi from 2027. Routes Asia named it best airline in 2024.

Cheap tickets

Ways to keep a Cebu Pacific trip between Bangkok and the Philippines cheap and simple.

  1. 01

    Stay on the Suvarnabhumi side

Most long-haul arrivals land at Suvarnabhumi. The Manila and Clark flights from that airport save a cross-city transfer to Don Mueang.

    Bangkok airports
  2. 02

Price GO Easy before adding bags

Adding a bag to GO Basic after booking can cost more than choosing GO Easy at the start.

    20 kg included
  3. 03

    Use Clark for northern Luzon

If your trip is around Angeles, Subic or Baguio, the Clark to Bangkok flight cuts out the drive through Metro Manila.

    CRK to BKK
  4. 04

    Watch the restart dates

Davao and Iloilo flights only return in late 2026. Book after the route shows in the booking engine for your exact dates.

    Davao and Iloilo
  5. 05

Pick a fare with a bag

The GO Basic fare carries no checked bag. If you are bringing a suitcase home from Manila, the GO Easy fare, which includes one 20 kg bag, is usually simpler than adding baggage later.
