Bangkok to Manila flight guide
A number of airlines fly nonstop from Bangkok to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila: Philippine Airlines, Thai Airways International, Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia. The 2,187 km flight takes about 3 hours 15 minutes. It serves business travellers, Filipino residents of Thailand going home, students and holidaymakers adding the Philippine islands to a Southeast Asia trip.
Various airlines fly from Suvarnabhumi (BKK); Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia also operate from Don Mueang (DMK), Bangkok's low-cost airport. The low-cost carriers price the seat alone and charge for checked bags, meals and seat choice, whereas Philippine Airlines and Thai Airways include them. Balikbayan-style luggage is heavy, so add hold bags early if you need them.
Suvarnabhumi is about 25 km east of central Bangkok, 27 minutes from Phaya Thai on the Airport Rail Link. Don Mueang is in the north: the A1 bus from Mo Chit 2 and BTS Chatuchak and the A2 from Victory Monument cost 30 baht, and the SRT Red Line runs from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport has several terminals spread across a large site in Pasay, and the terminal assignments changed in 2026. On 29 March 2026 the international flights of AirAsia Philippines and AirAsia Berhad moved from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, while several foreign airlines moved the other way. Check the terminal on your booking a day before travel and tell whoever is meeting you, since the terminals are far apart.
Grab and airport taxis reach Makati in 30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Evening arrivals face the heaviest roads.
All arriving passengers, foreign and Filipino, register on eTravel, the Philippines' free electronic travel declaration. The official FAQ says you may register within the 72 hours before arrival, and airlines may ask for the QR code before boarding. Use only etravel.gov.ph or the eGov PH app; immigration officials have warned about fake sites that charge a fee.
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Check the Philippine Bureau of Immigration or the nearest Philippine embassy before you book, and carry proof of onward travel.
Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways land at Suvarnabhumi from Dhaka (see our Dhaka to Bangkok flights page), where the Cebu Pacific, Philippine Airlines and Thai Airways departures to Manila also leave. A Don Mueang flight means crossing Bangkok and checking in again, so leave at least four hours; minibus 555 links the two airports for up to 60 baht between 06:30 and 20:00.

Practical points for booking this route.
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) are far apart. Low-cost flights on this route use Don Mueang, so match the airport to your hotel or connecting flight before you pay.
Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia charge for checked baggage. It is cheaper added online at booking than at the airport.
Put your dates into the search above and compare the price with baggage, seats and meals included, not just the base fare.
Entry rules for Bangladeshi passports change from time to time, so confirm them with the Philippine embassy or the official visa site before you book.

Both. A number of airlines use Suvarnabhumi (BKK); two use Don Mueang (DMK). The airports are on opposite sides of the city, so check the code on your ticket.
Ninoy Aquino International Airport has several terminals spread across a large site in Pasay, so check yours before you land. Grab and airport taxis reach Makati in 30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.
It depends on the airline, as the terminals at Ninoy Aquino are far apart. Check your ticket, and allow time for the terminal shuttle if you connect.
General
The clock moves one hour forward from Thai time (Thailand is UTC+7). Neither side uses daylight saving, so the gap stays the same all year.
Yes. Fly Dhaka to Bangkok on Biman, US-Bangla or Thai Airways, all of which land at Suvarnabhumi, then take one of the Manila flights. Booking both legs on one Thai Airways ticket, where available, keeps you airside with your bag checked through. Two separate tickets mean clearing Thai immigration, which needs a Thai visa.
It depends on the airline, and assignments changed in 2026: AirAsia's international flights moved from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1 on 29 March 2026. Check the terminal on your booking a day before you fly.
What's included
It depends on the airline. Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia are low-cost carriers whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
Visa & documents
Visa rules depend on your nationality, so check the Philippine Bureau of Immigration or an embassy before booking. Every arriving passenger also registers on the free eTravel system within the 72 hours before arrival.
Stay & facilities
On the full-service airlines, request a Muslim (halal) meal when you book or at least 24 hours before departure through the airline's manage-booking page. On Cebu Pacific and Philippines AirAsia, meals are bought online or on board; check the menu for halal options.
