Graves of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia

Ziaur Rahman, President of Bangladesh, was assassinated in Chattogram in 1981 and buried here. His widow, Khaleda Zia, who served as prime minister, was buried beside him at the end of 2025. Wide lawns and shaded paths lead to the mausoleum, which becomes a place of political pilgrimage on anniversaries, when large crowds gather.
