In short

Trinity Airways is the new name of T'way Air, a South Korean low-cost airline owned by Sono Trinity Group and flying from Incheon, Gimpo and Daegu. Its Boeing 737s and Airbus A330s reach Thailand, Japan, Vietnam, Central Asia, Australia and Europe. There is no alliance. Smart fares include 15 kg checked on most routes; Business Saver includes 30 kg, or 40 kg on long-haul.

Trinity Airways is the former T'way Air, rebranded in September 2026 under Sono Trinity Group.

What to expect

Trinity Airways is the name T'way Air has flown under since 10 September 2026. The change followed the airline's takeover by Sono Trinity Group, the leisure and resort company previously called Daemyung Sono Group, and the new name draws on the Latin trinitas to stand for flights, hotels and travel services under one roof. Shareholders approved it in March 2026. The flight code stays TW, and flight numbers, schedules and tickets issued under the T'way name all remain valid.

From Hansung Airlines to T'way

The company is older than the brand. It began as Hansung Airlines, which started flying ATR 72 turboprops on 13 August 2005 and stopped in 2009 after financial trouble. It relaunched as T'way in 2010 with two Boeing 737-800s on the Gimpo to Jeju route, earned its first annual profit in 2013 and took its first Airbus A330 in April 2022. The callsign changed from TEEWAY to SONOROUS on 4 September 2026, and the first Trinity Airways flight, Daegu to Jeju, ran on 10 September. Today it is headquartered in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, and flies from Seoul Incheon, Seoul Gimpo and Daegu, its long-standing home in the south-east of Korea. Search results and airport screens may still show T'way for a while, and aircraft are being repainted in stages.

Seoul and Daegu to Bangkok

Bangkok was the airline's first international destination, in October 2011. Two routes reach Bangkok today, both into Bangkok Suvarnabhumi: one from Seoul Incheon and one from Daegu. The Daegu flight saves travellers from Daegu and North Gyeongsang the trip to Incheon. A twice-weekly Busan to Chiang Mai service began in January 2026. A Korean low-cost airline with long-haul routes

Trinity Airways flies wide-body jets to Paris, Rome, Barcelona and, in season, Zagreb, as well as Sydney and Vancouver, which is unusual for a Korean low-cost airline. Sydney, announced in October 2022, was the first long-haul route. Frankfurt opened in October 2024 under a concession tied to the Korean Air and Asiana merger and has since been dropped. Shorter routes reach Japan, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Singapore, Jakarta, Bali, Tashkent and Bishkek. Incheon to Kobe is due from 18 December 2026. The airline codeshares with Eastar Jet and Tigerair Taiwan and has interline deals with Air Premia, ITA Airways and Virgin Australia. It has no Bangladesh flights; Biman and US-Bangla connect Dhaka with Suvarnabhumi.
