What to expect

Peach (Peach Aviation) is a Japanese low-cost airline based at Osaka Kansai International Airport. It was founded on 10 February 2011 as A&F Aviation, a joint venture of All Nippon Airways and First Eastern Investment Group, took the Peach name in May 2011 and flew its first service, Kansai to Sapporo New Chitose, on 1 March 2012. ANA held 77.9% by 2018 and bought the last 7% from First Eastern Aviation Holdings in December 2024, making Peach a wholly owned subsidiary.

How Vanilla Air became part of Peach

ANA announced on 22 March 2018 that it would fold its other budget brand, Vanilla Air, into Peach, and Vanilla Air stopped flying on 26 October 2019. That merger is why the airline also keeps bases at Tokyo Narita, Sendai and Okinawa Naha. Peach introduced a refreshed brand and livery from 1 April 2026, so both old and new colours will be seen at airports for a while.

Osaka to Bangkok

Thailand has a single entry on the Peach map: Osaka Kansai to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. Peach opened the route in December 2022 and has put it on sale again for the 2026 winter timetable, which runs from 25 October 2026 to 27 March 2027. Kyoto, Nara and Kobe are all within easy reach of Kansai airport by rail. See Bangkok to Osaka flights and Osaka to Bangkok flights for every airline on the route.

Peach and ANA have codeshared since August 2021. Outside Japan, Peach also flies from its Japanese bases to Seoul, Taipei, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Shanghai Pudong and Singapore. It has no Bangladesh route; from Dhaka, Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines and Thai Airways reach Suvarnabhumi (see Dhaka to Bangkok flights), where the Peach service to Osaka departs.

Growing pains and firsts

A pilot shortage in summer 2014 forced Peach to cancel more than 2,000 flights, about 16% of its capacity. In May 2017 it became the first Japanese airline to accept bitcoin. The network kept widening after the pandemic: Osaka to Singapore was scheduled from December 2024 and Seoul Gimpo was added for the 2025 summer season. By July 2026 the fleet stood at 40 aircraft.

Cheap tickets

Habits that keep a Peach trip to Japan cheap and stress-free.

  1. 01

    Connect at Suvarnabhumi

Peach leaves from Suvarnabhumi, where most international flights arrive, so there is no cross-city transfer to Don Mueang.

    Suvarnabhumi
  2. 02

Pick the fare for the return

A Minimum fare can work outbound, but Japan trips tend to end with heavier bags. Pricing the return on Standard often costs less than adding a bag later.

    Minimum vs Standard
  3. 03

    Keep the QR code handy

Peach check-in runs on the QR code from your itinerary or your six-character reference. Save it offline before you reach the terminal.

  4. 04

    Arrange the visa first

Book a flexible Standard Plus fare, or wait to book, until your Japanese visa is approved. A Minimum fare cannot be changed if the visa is delayed.
