Qatar ExxonMobil Open Tennis, Doha guide
Tennis fans can watch top-ten players at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex, where the Qatar ExxonMobil Open is expected in mid-February 2027, around 15 to 20 February following the 2026 pattern. The ATP had not confirmed the week yet, so check its calendar. Qualifying usually takes the weekend before the main draw.
Doha's men's ATP tournament, the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, is played each February on hard courts at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex in West Bay. It has run every year since 1993 and holds ATP 500 status, so the draw regularly includes several of the world's top 10. The 2027 edition is expected in mid February.
The ATP has not yet confirmed the 2027 week. Following the 2026 pattern, the main draw would run from about 15 to 20 February 2027, with qualifying the weekend before.
Carlos Alcaraz is the reigning singles champion, and Andrey Rublev beat Jack Draper in the 2025 final. The centre court seats about 7,000. Early rounds cost less and are far quieter than the semi-finals and final, which is when most of the crowd turns up.

In 2026 the main draw ran from Monday 16 to Saturday 21 February, after qualifying on 14 and 15 February. Shift that by a year and the 2027 main draw lands on roughly 15 to 20 February. Confirmed dates go up on the ATP calendar and on atpqataropen.com before tickets go on sale.
Doha also hosts the women's Qatar TotalEnergies Open, a WTA 1000 event, on the same courts in February, so one trip can sometimes take in both.
For many years this was the tournament that opened the men's season, in the first week of January. It picked up the ATP 250 Tournament of the Year award several times before moving up to ATP 500 and a February slot. Roger Federer holds the record with three singles titles. Rafael Nadal won in 2014 and Novak Djokovic in 2016 and 2017. Andy Murray, then 20, became the youngest champion in 2008.
The Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex opened in 1992 in Al Dafna, on the edge of West Bay, at the corner of Majlis Al Taawon and Al Markhiya streets. It has a longer sporting record than most visitors expect: tennis and squash at the 2006 Asian Games, the WTA Tour Championships from 2008 to 2010, and the Padel World Championship.
Tickets are sold on the official tournament website, and the semi-finals and final sell out first. The complex is a short taxi ride from the Corniche and the West Bay hotels, and several hotels are close enough to walk. Allow about 25 minutes by road from Hamad International Airport. Visas, transport and the best months to go are covered in our Qatar travel guide.
