Burapa Pattaya Bike Week, Pattaya guide
Burapa Pattaya Bike Week usually runs for three days around Valentine's Day, 12 to 14 February in 2026, though nothing was confirmed for 2027 by October 2026. A stadium on the city's edge hosts thousands of riders, with a parade along the beach roads. It suits motorcycle fans; confirm dates and expect road closures for the parade.
Burapa Pattaya Bike Week turns a sports stadium on the edge of Pattaya into a long weekend of engines, leather and loud guitars. Often billed as Thailand's biggest motorcycle festival, it pulls in thousands of riders, and its parade gives the city's beach roads over to bikes for one afternoon.
Pattaya City organises the festival together with the Burapa Bike Week group, and treats it as a way of bringing visitors in through events as well as beaches. It has long outgrown a gathering of club riders. Plenty of people turn up for the stunt shows or the bands and never sit on a bike.
For a visitor with no interest in engines, it is still a lively way to see a side of Pattaya beyond the beach and the bars.

Hotels near the venue fill up around the event dates.
Entry to the stadium grounds has been free in recent editions, so the only money you need is for food and shopping, and the stalls prefer cash. Carry small notes.
Go in the late afternoon. The grounds are calmer then, the stunt arena is running and children can walk the rows of bikes without being jostled. Leave before the evening concerts get going, when the volume rises and the crowd thickens. Agree a meeting point near the entrance in case anyone gets separated, and pack ear defenders sized for small heads if you plan to stay past dusk.
Pattaya City asks drivers to stay off the parade route from Saturday afternoon, and crossing the city by car while the bikes are out is slow going. Plan to be where you want to watch before the roads close, and stay put until the last club has passed.
Watch from the pavement, not the road edge, and keep children well back from the kerb. If you are riding in with a club, the city's request is simple: follow the traffic rules like everyone else.
Clubs ride in, pitch camp, park their bikes in long rows and drift between the stages. The music runs all three nights.
In 2026 a convoy toured the city to draw people in, and the mayor opened the festival.
The bikes roll out of the stadium gates. Kerbside spots go long before the first engines start.
The stages carry on after the bikes return.
The festival grounds are not where most visitors sleep. The stadium stands on Chaiyapruek 2 Road in Nong Prue, out on the eastern side of the city, while the hotels cluster along the beaches. That makes your choice of district matter more than usual. Jomtien, a largely residential strip with a long beach and rooms at every price, sits on the return leg of the parade and is the easiest place to watch it from your doorstep. Central Pattaya puts Walking Street and the late bars within reach once the concerts end. Naklua, to the north, is quieter and suits anyone who wants sleep.
Confirmed dates tend to appear only a few weeks before the event, through Pattaya City and the local papers, so hold off on anything non-refundable until January. Our Pattaya city guide goes through the districts in more detail.
Most people need only one evening at the grounds. Pair it with the Saturday parade and you have seen the festival at its best.
For close to three decades the festival has been built on an idea the organisers call Ride for Peace: safe riding, tourism for the city and friendship between clubs. Riders arrive from across Thailand and from Asia, Europe and the United States, and part of the programme has always gone to charity drives.
In 2026 the stadium was divided into eight zones. Two main stages, the Rock Stage and the King Stage, carried the headline bands, and a Junior Stage gave younger groups a slot. The Cowboy Indian zone gathers western-styled bikes and riders in fringed leather and hats. There is a stunt arena for freestyle riders, a zone for motorcycles fitted with booming sound systems, rows of stalls with riding kit and accessories, and a food court of Thai dishes.
The best part costs nothing. Walk the lines of parked machines and you will find restored classics beside heavy chrome customs; in 2026 one builder turned up with a bike themed on the Predator films. Take your time. The rows change as clubs come and go through the day.
Long-haul flights land in Bangkok at Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK). Check entry rules for your passport on our Thailand visa page.
Pattaya is about 120 km away. Bus 389 leaves the airport about hourly from 07:00 to 22:00 for North, Central and South Pattaya and Jomtien, around 143 baht. Bell Travel coaches drop at hotels (book ahead). A taxi takes 80 to 90 minutes, tolls extra. From Ekkamai in Bangkok, buses take 2 to 2.5 hours.
U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya (UTP), about 30 km south, has domestic flights from Phuket, Koh Samui and Udon Thani.
In 2026 it ran along Sukhumvit and Pattaya Road to South Pattaya Beach Road, past Walking Street and Bali Hai Pier, over Thappraya Road to Jomtien Beach, and back via Chaiyapruek 1 and Jomtien Second Road. Beach Road and Jomtien Beach Road give the best views.
Baht buses loop Second Road and Beach Road for about 10 baht, but the stadium is off the loop: budget for a taxi each way.
The next edition runs from 12 February to 14 February 2027. Book your room as soon as your dates are fixed, since rooms close to the festival are the first to go.
February is in Pattaya's dry season. Average highs are about 31°C and lows about 24°C, with only around 20 mm of rain in the month (1991-2020 normals).
Expect strong sun on the parade route and warm nights at the stages.
Met at arrivals at U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya International Airport (UTP) and driven door to door to Eastern National Sports Training Center.

General
Pattaya's mayor, Poramet Ngampichet, presided over the opening ceremony on Saturday 14 February 2026, joined by city councillors, provincial officials and representatives of the Burapa Bike Week Association.
Yes. The official name is the Eastern National Sports Training Center, but most people in Pattaya know it simply as the Pattaya Sports Stadium. Use either name with a driver.
It is the festival's long-standing motto. The organisers use it to stand for safe riding, support for local tourism and good relations between biker clubs, and charity drives form part of the programme.
No. Pattaya taxis are unmetered, so agree the fare before you get in, especially for the ride out to the stadium and back on festival nights.
Naklua, north of the centre, is the calmest option and home to the Sanctuary of Truth. Pratumnak, on Buddha Hill, is quiet too, but no regular baht bus runs there, so you will rely on taxis or ride-hailing apps.
Yes. A daily Roong Reuang/Bell Travel bus leaves Pattaya for Hua Hin and Cha-am at 11:00, for about 389 baht, which saves going back through Bangkok.
Yes. The Pattaya Firework Festival is held later in the year and makes a good excuse for a second visit once the bikes have gone.
Cancellations & changes
They can. In October 2025 the 2026 festival was announced for 5 to 7 February, and it eventually took place a week later. Check the dates again shortly before you travel.
Getting there
Only on weekdays. A slow third-class train leaves Hualamphong at 06:50 and arrives at 10:18, for about 31 baht. It is basic and slow, but very cheap.
Prices & payment
Wave one down, climb in the back and pay the standard fare when you get off. Telling the driver where you are going first can turn the ride into a private charter costing 100 to 200 baht.
