In short
bookingMentor lists hotels, resorts, villas and the odd apartment or lodge in Bangladesh and abroad, and every hotel page shows its room prices, check-in times, breakfast terms and house rules before you book. Free cancellation is the exception in Dhaka, so read the terms before you pay.
What each hotel page tells you
Every hotel page lists its room types with their own prices, the check-in and check-out times, the facilities and the house rules. Most hotels check guests in from 3:00 PM or 2:00 PM, and the large majority want rooms back by 12:00 noon.
Breakfast arrangements are written out on almost every hotel page, so you can see whether it is in the rate or charged per person before you choose a room. If you are travelling with a dog or cat, check the pets line: a minority accept pets, some decide on request and most do not take them.
From the nightly rate to the total
The figure on a hotel card is the lowest nightly rate on that property. Rates run from $47 a night at Hotel Nandini in Dhaka to $3,050 at Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort in Antalya. Pick your dates, room and number of guests on the hotel page and the booking form adds it up.
Checkout then shows a one-time service fee as its own line before you confirm. Signed-in members get the Secret Prices rate, 10% lower, applied automatically.
Cancelling, and paying at the hotel
Some Dhaka hotels allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival, and the offers above show which one also lets you settle the bill at the property. Both appear in the hotel offers above, and each hotel page states its own terms.
For every other hotel, cancellations follow the Refunds & Cancellation Policy. You send the request by email, an approved refund takes 30 to 45 working days, and booking and service fees are kept.
Staying for Umrah
For pilgrims, the hotels next to the two holy mosques are the ones to look at. Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, occupies the clock tower across from Masjid al-Haram, and Anwar Al Madinah Mövenpick Hotel is next to the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Most hotels on the site check guests in from 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM and ask for the room back by 12:00 PM. A few use 4:00 PM check-in or 11:00 AM check-out. The exact times are on each hotel page. For an early arrival, ask the hotel after booking; it depends on room availability.

Use the facility filters on the hotel search results. Most properties list a swimming pool, and a good number are beachfront, some with a private beach. The beachfront hotels are mostly in the Maldives, Thailand and the UAE.

No. It is the lowest nightly rate for that property. The booking form on the hotel page works out the total for your dates, room and guests, and checkout adds a one-time service fee as a separate line before you confirm. Nothing is charged until you complete checkout.
Yes. Signed-in members get Secret Prices, 10% off hotel stays. The discount is applied automatically at checkout, so there is no code to type. Sign in before you start the booking.

What's included
Usually not as standard. Only a handful of hotels list breakfast as included. On nearly every hotel page the breakfast details are written out, including the type of breakfast and whether it is charged per person, so check that section before you choose a room.
Families & accessibility
At some hotels. A small number accept pets, some decide case by case on request, and the rest do not allow them. The pets policy is shown on each hotel page; for the on-request hotels, contact the hotel before you travel.
