Koh Tao is part of the Chumphon Archipelago, which includes several other islands worth exploring, such as Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Nang Yuan. There are also several other nearby attractions on the mainland, such as Chumphon National Park and the beautiful Khao Sok National Park.
Koh Tao is known for its world-class diving and snorkelling, but there are also plenty of other activities to enjoy, such as hiking, rock climbing, and relaxing on the beautiful beaches. The island also has a vibrant nightlife and delicious local cuisine to try.
The best way to reach Koh Tao is by ferry from the mainland or neighbouring islands. There are regular ferry services from Chumphon, Surat Thani, Koh Samui, and Koh Phangan, with journey times ranging from one to four hours.
Koh Tao has a variety of local dishes to try, including fresh seafood, curries, and stir-fried dishes. Some popular dishes include Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, and Massaman Curry.
The best time to visit Koh Tao is from March to May, when the weather is dry and sunny. However, this is also the busiest time, so be prepared for crowds and higher prices. If you prefer fewer crowds, consider visiting during the low season from September to November.
