Flying from Siem Reap to Phuket

  • Updated

In short

Thai AirAsia flies nonstop from Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport (SAI) in Cambodia to Phuket International Airport (HKT) on Thailand's Andaman coast. The 871 km flight takes about 1 hour 35 minutes and is the easy way to go from the Angkor temples to the beach without a stop in Bangkok.

Thai AirAsia is the only airline on the route. As a low-cost airline it includes only a cabin bag in the basic fare, so add checked baggage when you book.

FD613 schedule after the summer break

The route came back on 25 October 2026 after a summer break. Flight FD613 leaves Siem Reap at 16:50 and arrives in Phuket at 18:25, on an Airbus A320, four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In October 2026 Thai AirAsia cancelled a planned move to daily flights, so the route stays at four a week from 2 January to 27 March 2027.

An hour's ride to the new Siem Reap airport

The new airport opened in 2023 about 40 km east of town, so allow an hour by taxi or shuttle bus and add time for check-in and immigration. For an international flight, aim to arrive around three hours before departure.

Phuket entry rules after the September 2026 change

Entry rules for Thailand depend on your nationality, and every foreign visitor completes the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 72 hours before landing; our Thailand visa page has the details. The rules changed on 15 September 2026: the 60-day visa exemption ended, and 60 countries and territories now qualify for 30 days.

You land in the early evening at the northern tip of the island. AOT lists the Airport Bus Express to Patong Beach between 08:00 and 20:00 and the hourly airport bus to Phuket Town from 08:15 to 20:15, both leaving from the arrivals exit, so an 18:25 arrival can still catch a bus if immigration is quick. The Phuket Smart Bus runs from the domestic terminal down the west coast via Kamala, Karon and Kata to Rawai. Public minivans serve Patong, Karon and Kata, and car rental counters are on the first floor. Taxis take around an hour to Patong or Kata, more in traffic.

No time change, with Bangkok for onward flights

There is no time difference: both countries use UTC+7. For onward trips, domestic flights link Phuket with Bangkok, where you can connect across Asia, for example to South Asia from Suvarnabhumi (see Bangkok to Dhaka flights).
