Doha to Dhaka flight guide
A number of airlines fly nonstop from Hamad International Airport in Doha (DOH) to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka (DAC): Qatar Airways, US-Bangla Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines. The 3,913 km flight takes about 5 hours eastbound. Passengers include Bangladeshis who live and work in Qatar and travellers who have flown in from further away and change planes at Qatar Airways' hub.
Qatar Airways flies a Boeing 777-300ER with 354 seats, and Biman a Boeing 787-8 with 271; both are twin-aisle aircraft. US-Bangla also flies the route nonstop. Each of them allows 30 kg of checked baggage and 7 kg in the cabin. Biman and US-Bangla also fly from Hamad to Chattogram, and Biman to Sylhet, which can get families in the south-east and north-east closer to home.
Coming from the city, the Doha Metro Red Line stops at Terminal 1, and bus line 757 runs from Downtown Doha. Hamad opened on 27 May 2014, replacing the old Doha International Airport about 5 km to the west. Concourses D and E opened in March 2025, and the Cable Liner people mover links the halls. With time to spare, The Orchard, a 10,000 m2 indoor garden, and Urs Fischer's 7 m bronze Lamp Bear are both near the central concourse. Qatar Airways business passengers use the Al Mourjan lounges.
Bangladeshi citizens enter on their passport. Anyone on a foreign passport, including spouses of another nationality, should arrange a Bangladesh visa before leaving Doha. Dhaka is three hours ahead of Doha in every season.
At Hazrat Shahjalal, Uber and Pathao both pick up passengers, so you can book a car from the arrivals hall without bargaining at the kerb. Hazrat Shahjalal's new Terminal 3 is due for a soft opening on 16 December 2026, with full operations expected in March or April 2027, so check which building your flight uses.
