Beijing to Bangkok flight guide
Several airlines fly nonstop from Beijing to Bangkok across Beijing's two airports, Capital (PEK) and Daxing (PKX). Air China, Hainan Airlines, Thai Airways International and China Eastern Airlines land at Suvarnabhumi (BKK); Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air land at Don Mueang (DMK). The 3,317 km flight takes about 4 hours 40 minutes and is one of the long-established routes between China and Thailand.
Beijing Capital is in Shunyi, about 32 km north-east of downtown. The Capital Airport Express line starts at Beixinqiao, calls at Dongzhimen and Sanyuanqiao, and reaches Terminals 2 and 3 in about 16 to 20 minutes. Air China and Hainan Airlines are both based at Capital, which handled 70.7 million passengers in 2025, so leave time for check-in at peak hours. Daxing, far to the south, has its own express line; check which airport your ticket names before leaving the hotel.
The full-service airlines include a checked bag and a meal, which matters on a flight close to five hours. Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air sell the seat and charge for checked bags, meals and seat choice, so compare the total fare.
Suvarnabhumi lies about 25 km east of central Bangkok. Its three parallel runways and the SAT-1 satellite concourse, opened in stages from September 2023, keep it moving at around 63 million passengers a year. The Airport Rail Link runs to Phaya Thai in about 27 minutes and meets the BTS Skytrain; Makkasan connects to the MRT Blue Line. Metered taxis and Grab wait outside arrivals.
Don Mueang, north of the city, is the base of Thailand's low-cost airlines and handled about 31.7 million passengers in 2025. The SRT Dark Red Line stops there, and bus A3 runs to Pratunam and Lumpini Park for 50 baht.
Thai entry rules depend on your passport; see our Thailand visa page. Every foreign visitor fills in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card within 72 hours before landing.
The Dhaka flights on Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways leave from Suvarnabhumi (see Bangkok to Dhaka flights). If you land at Don Mueang, allow time to cross the city; Airports of Thailand runs a free shuttle bus between the airports for ticketed passengers. Beijing also has its own flights: see Beijing Capital to Dhaka flights.
Clocks go back one hour on landing in Thailand. Neither country uses daylight saving.

Practical points for booking this route.
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) are far apart. Low-cost flights on this route use Don Mueang, so match the airport to your hotel or connecting flight before you pay.
Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air charge for checked baggage. It is cheaper added online at booking than at the airport.

Apply for the Thai e-Visa online well before you fly and fill in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card in the 72 hours before landing; airlines check both at check-in.

Getting there
Flights land at both Bangkok airports: several airlines at Suvarnabhumi, and Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air at Don Mueang. Schedules change by season, so check the flights for your dates in the search above.
About 4 hours 40 minutes in the air. The two airports are 3,317 km apart in a straight line; actual times vary a little by airline, aircraft and wind.
Both. Multiple airlines use Suvarnabhumi (BKK); two use Don Mueang (DMK). The airports are on opposite sides of the city, so check the code on your ticket.
Suvarnabhumi lies about 25 km east of central Bangkok. The Airport Rail Link runs to Phaya Thai in about 27 minutes and meets the BTS Skytrain there; Makkasan station connects to the MRT Blue Line. Metered taxis and Grab wait outside arrivals. Don Mueang is north of the city. The SRT Dark Red Line stops at the airport and runs to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (Bang Sue), where it meets the MRT Blue Line; airport buses and metered taxis cover the rest of the city.
Yes. Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways fly Bangkok to Dhaka from Suvarnabhumi. If you land at Don Mueang, allow at least four hours to transfer by road and check in again. On separate tickets you clear Thai immigration and collect your bag, so you need a Thai visa. See Bangkok to Dhaka flights.
Both. Thai Airways, Air China and Hainan Airlines fly to Beijing Capital (PEK); China Eastern, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air use Beijing Daxing (PKX), and Air China is listed to add Daxing from 25 October 2026. Check the code on your ticket.
Capital is north-east of the city and Daxing far to the south, so a transfer between them can take well over an hour. Avoid connections that switch airports.
General
The clock moves one hour back on landing in Thailand (Thailand is UTC+7). Neither side uses daylight saving, so the gap stays the same all year.
A passport that meets Thailand's entry rules for your nationality, plus the Thailand Digital Arrival Card, which every foreign visitor completes within 72 hours before landing. Check whether you need a visa on our Thailand visa page.
Yes; see Beijing Capital to Dhaka flights. Going via Bangkok is worth it if you want a few days in Thailand on the way home.
What's included
It depends on the airline. Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air are low-cost carriers whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
Stay & facilities
On the full-service airlines, request a Muslim (halal) meal when you book or at least 24 hours before departure through the airline's manage-booking page. On Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air, meals are bought online or on board; check the menu for halal options.
