Bangkok to Beijing flight guide
Multiple airlines fly nonstop from Bangkok to Beijing: Air China, Hainan Airlines, Thai Airways International and China Eastern Airlines from Suvarnabhumi (BKK), and Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air from Don Mueang (DMK). The 3,317 km flight takes about 4 hours 40 minutes. Beijing has two airports, Capital (PEK) and Daxing (PKX), and flights on this route use both, so the airport on your ticket matters as much as the airline.
Air China and Hainan Airlines are both based at Beijing Capital, and Air China uses Terminal 3 there with its Star Alliance partners. Thai Airways International and China Eastern Airlines complete the full-service choice from Suvarnabhumi, and all of them include a checked bag. Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air fly from Don Mueang and charge for checked bags, meals and seat choice. On a flight of nearly five hours, a meal and a bag can close much of the gap in price.
Suvarnabhumi lies about 25 km east of the centre and is reached on the Airport Rail Link from Phaya Thai in about 27 minutes. Don Mueang is in the north, on the SRT Dark Red Line, with bus A1 from Chatuchak and Mo Chit for 30 baht. The two airports are on opposite sides of the city.
Beijing Capital International Airport is in Shunyi district, about 32 km north-east of downtown, and handled 70.7 million passengers in 2025. The Capital Airport Express line runs 30 km from Terminal 3 via Terminal 2 to Sanyuanqiao, Dongzhimen and its terminus at Beixinqiao, in about 16 to 20 minutes. Terminal 3 opened in 2008 for the Olympic Games.
Daxing lies far to the south of the city and has its own Daxing Airport Express. If your hotel is in the north or east of Beijing, a flight into Capital saves a long cross-city ride.
Chinese entry rules depend on nationality and change from time to time. Confirm yours with the Chinese embassy or the official visa site before booking.
Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways fly Dhaka to Suvarnabhumi (see Dhaka to Bangkok flights), where the Air China, Hainan Airlines, Thai Airways and China Eastern flights also leave. A Don Mueang connection means crossing Bangkok and checking in again, so leave at least four hours. Dhaka also has its own flights: see Dhaka to Beijing Capital flights.
Beijing is one hour ahead of Bangkok, and neither country uses daylight saving.

Practical points for booking this route.
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) are far apart. Low-cost flights on this route use Don Mueang, so match the airport to your hotel or connecting flight before you pay.
Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air charge for checked baggage. It is cheaper added online at booking than at the airport.

Getting there
From Suvarnabhumi, several airlines fly the route; from Don Mueang, Bangkok's low-cost airport, it is Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air. Schedules change by season, so check the flights for your dates in the search above.
About 4 hours 40 minutes in the air. The two airports are 3,317 km apart in a straight line; actual times vary a little by airline, aircraft and wind.
Both. Multiple airlines use Suvarnabhumi (BKK); two use Don Mueang (DMK). The airports are on opposite sides of the city, so check the code on your ticket.
Beijing has two airports. Capital (PEK), north-east of the city, has the Capital Airport Express train; Daxing (PKX), far to the south, has the Daxing Airport Express. Check which one your ticket uses.
Yes, Beijing also has its own flights from Dhaka; see Dhaka to Beijing Capital flights. Flying via Bangkok makes sense when you want a stopover in Thailand on the way.
Both. Thai Airways, Air China and Hainan Airlines fly to Beijing Capital (PEK); China Eastern, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air use Beijing Daxing (PKX), and Air China is listed to add Daxing from 25 October 2026. Check the code on your ticket.
Capital is north-east of the city and Daxing far to the south, so a transfer between them can take well over an hour. Avoid connections that switch airports.
General
The clock moves one hour forward from Thai time (Thailand is UTC+7). Neither side uses daylight saving, so the gap stays the same all year.
That depends on your nationality, and the rules change from time to time. Confirm with the Chinese embassy or the official visa site before you book.
Yes. Fly Dhaka to Bangkok on Biman, US-Bangla or Thai Airways, all of which land at Suvarnabhumi, then take one of the Beijing flights. Booking both legs on one Thai Airways ticket, where available, keeps you airside with your bag checked through. Two separate tickets mean clearing Thai immigration, which needs a Thai visa.
What's included
It depends on the airline. Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air are low-cost carriers whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
Stay & facilities
On the full-service airlines, request a Muslim (halal) meal when you book or at least 24 hours before departure through the airline's manage-booking page. On Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air, meals are bought online or on board; check the menu for halal options.
