Yes. Dhaka has more nonstop choice to Abu Dhabi, so a domestic hop from Shah Amanat or the train north can link up with it. A single through ticket is the safer option, since your bag then goes all the way and a delay on the first leg is the airline's problem.
Getting there
Shah Amanat is at Patenga on the Karnaphuli, about 18.5 km south of the railway station and further still from GEC Circle, so the drive is longer than many expect. Leave with a wide margin, because international check-in, document checks and emigration all take longer than a domestic departure.
Route E102 links the airport with Dubai, while A1 and A2 run around the clock to central Abu Dhabi, about 30 km to the west. If your employer is not collecting you, the bus is the cheap option, though a full 30 kg suitcase makes a taxi more practical.
Biman is the sure choice: its 737-800 carries a small business section ahead of economy. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi fits its A320 with 168 economy seats and no premium cabin at all. The aircraft US-Bangla uses here is not listed, so ask the airline before paying for a better seat.
Timing & weather
Yes. The UAE runs on UTC+4 throughout the year and Bangladesh on UTC+6. The arrival time on your ticket is already in UAE time, so it looks closer to the departure than the hours spent in the air would suggest.
Many workers spend the holiday at home and fly back together as their leave ends, so the days after Eid fill first. If your contract allows, return a few days later than the main rush, or book the outbound well before you travel home for the festival.
Visa & documents
Terminal A verifies identities with biometric data under the Smart Travel system inaugurated in July 2024. Keep a printed copy of your entry permit in your hand luggage in case an officer asks to compare it with the passport.
Your employer does. Under UAE rules the company must file the application for the standard work visa, which runs for two years and can be renewed on the authorities' conditions. Ask the employer for the approved paperwork well before booking, since you cannot board at Shah Amanat without it.
