Airport Express to Terminal 3
International flights use Terminal 3. The Delhi Metro Airport Express runs from New Delhi railway station to Terminal 3 in about 20 minutes and avoids the city's traffic. Taxis and app cabs take longer at rush hour. Arrive early enough for check-in, security and Indian emigration.
Taxis to Ao Nang and boats to Railay
Krabi International Airport lies east of Krabi Town. Ao Nang, where most visitors stay, is roughly 40 minutes away by taxi or shared minivan, and longtail boats to Railay leave from Ao Nang beach. Railay has no road access, so if you are staying there, plan the boat as part of the transfer and travel light.
Krabi Town itself is closer to the airport and has ferries to Koh Lanta and Koh Phi Phi.
TDAC rules and why it isn't a visa
Every non-Thai national must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online at tdac.immigration.go.th within the three days before arrival. It became compulsory on 1 May 2025, replacing the paper TM6 card, and is not a visa. Royal Thai Embassy guidance says immigration will not process an arrival without it, and that the card can be filed before a visa is issued.

Early-hours arrival from a late Delhi departure
Thailand is one hour 30 minutes ahead of India, all year. A late-evening departure from Delhi lands in Krabi in the early hours, so book your room from the night before or ask the hotel to hold it.
The best weather on Krabi's Andaman coast is from about November to April, when seas are calm for island trips to Phi Phi, Hong and the Four Islands. From May to October the monsoon brings rain and rougher water; some boat trips run less often, but hotels are cheaper.
Cash for the minivan and a daylight boat to Railay
File the TDAC the day before departure and keep the confirmation on your phone. Exchange a little cash for the taxi or minivan. If you land late, book the transfer in advance; plan to cross to Railay in daylight.
India's e-Arrival Card for the flight back
Coming back, foreign nationals and OCI cardholders file India's e-Arrival Card up to 72 hours before landing, on indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival or in the Su-Swagatam app. Allow about 40 minutes from Ao Nang to the airport, more from Railay with the boat, and arrive early for Thai emigration. At Terminal 3 in Delhi, the Airport Express metro reaches New Delhi station in about 20 minutes.
