Krabi to Delhi flight guide
Krabi to Delhi is a nonstop IndiGo flight of about 4 hours 30 minutes and 3,229 km from Krabi International Airport (KBV) to Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). It is the one direct link from Krabi's limestone coast to India's capital, a quick way home for north Indian travellers after Ao Nang, Railay or the islands.
IndiGo is a low-cost airline and the only one on the route. The basic fare covers a cabin bag; checked luggage, seat choice and meals are extras. Add a bag at booking if you are carrying beach gear or shopping, since it costs less online than at the airport.
Krabi International Airport is east of Krabi Town. From Ao Nang, where most visitors stay, the drive takes roughly 40 minutes by taxi or shared minivan. If you are on Railay, remember the extra boat ride: longtail boats run from Railay to Ao Nang beach, and they depend on the tide and the weather, so leave a buffer of an hour or more before you need to be on the road.
From Koh Lanta or Koh Phi Phi, plan the ferry or minivan the day before and check its timetable, because services are limited in the evening.
Most international flights at Indira Gandhi International use Terminal 3. The Delhi Metro Airport Express line runs from Terminal 3 to New Delhi railway station in about 20 minutes, the fastest way into central Delhi at busy times. Prepaid taxis and app cabs wait outside arrivals.
If your next flight is domestic, check which terminal it uses. Delhi's domestic flights are split between terminals, and on separate tickets you will need to collect bags and check in again.
Since 1 October 2025, foreign nationals and OCI cardholders arriving in India must submit an e-Arrival Card. It can be filed up to 72 hours before arrival on indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival or in the Su-Swagatam app. It is separate from your visa, which foreign visitors still need to arrange before travel.
Delhi is one hour 30 minutes behind Thailand. Neither country uses daylight saving, so the gap holds all year.
Krabi's dry season runs from about November to April, the best time for island-hopping and climbing at Railay. Delhi's pleasant months are October to March; summer from April to June is very hot, and the monsoon runs from about July to September. The overlap from November to March is the most popular time on the route.
File the e-Arrival Card the evening before your flight, inside the 72-hour window. Keep your boarding pass, passport and visa together for Thai emigration and for check-in. Weigh your bags at the hotel; IndiGo charges more for excess baggage at the airport.
With a single airline and one flight, there is no backup if the plane is full. Book early for Diwali and the Christmas and New Year holidays.
On a trip from Delhi to Krabi, IndiGo leaves from Terminal 3, a short ride on the Airport Express from New Delhi station. Every non-Thai national then files the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online at tdac.immigration.go.th within the three days before landing. It replaced the paper TM6 card on 1 May 2025, and Royal Thai Embassy guidance says immigration will not process an arrival without it.
From Delhi, IndiGo and Air India fly across India and abroad. Our Dhaka to New Delhi flights page covers one regional link from DEL; the Dhaka to Bangkok flights page shows the main way into Thailand from that region.
