Jeddah to Phuket flight guide
Jeddah to Phuket is a nonstop Saudia flight of about 8 hours 35 minutes and 6,496 km from King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) to Phuket International Airport (HKT). It takes Saudi residents and Red Sea travellers straight to Thailand's main beach island, with no change in Bangkok or the Gulf.
As the only airline on the route and a full-service carrier, Saudia normally includes a checked bag, meals and drinks in economy. On a flight of more than eight hours, that inclusion makes Saudia easy to compare with one-stop options through Dubai, Doha or Bangkok.
Saudia flies from Terminal 1 at King Abdulaziz International Airport, north of the city. Travellers coming from Makkah, Madinah, King Abdullah Economic City or Jeddah's Al-Sulimaniyah station can take the Haramain High Speed Railway straight to the airport station, which avoids city traffic. Book the train with a generous margin before your check-in time. Allow plenty of time for check-in and passport control, especially in the Umrah season when the terminal is busy.
Phuket International Airport is at the northern tip of the island. Patong, Kata and Karon are roughly an hour away by road.
Airports of Thailand lists the transport. The Airport Bus Express goes to Patong Beach via Thalang and Kathu from 8 am to 8 pm. The airport bus to Phuket Town leaves every hour from 8:15 am to 8:15 pm. The Phuket Smart Bus picks up beside the domestic terminal and runs to Kamala, Patong, Karon, Kata and Rawai. Shared vans serve Patong, Kata and Karon, and car rental is on the first floor. Outside bus hours, use the taxi counter or a pre-booked shuttle.
For help planning the transfer, the Airports of Thailand call centre on 1722 handles transport questions. Many hotels on the west coast also arrange airport pick-ups, which is worth asking about when you book, especially for an early-morning landing after the overnight flight.
Non-Thai nationals must submit the TDAC online at tdac.immigration.go.th within the three days before arriving. The card replaced the paper TM6 form on 1 May 2025. Royal Thai Embassy guidance says immigration will not process an arrival without it, and it can be completed before a visa is issued. It is not a visa; our Thailand visa page covers the visa rule for Saudi and other passports.
Thailand is four hours ahead of Saudi Arabia, all year. An evening departure from Jeddah lands in Phuket the next morning, local time.
Phuket's dry season runs from about November to April, with calm seas for boat trips. The summer months from June to August, when Saudi schools are on holiday, fall in Phuket's rainy season, but showers are often short and hotel prices drop.
File the TDAC within the three-day window, save the confirmation and keep your hotel address handy for immigration.
Your hotel area sets the length of the transfer. Patong has a direct Airport Bus Express via Thalang and Kathu. Kamala, Karon, Kata and Rawai lie along the Smart Bus route on the west coast, while Phuket Town has its own hourly airport bus via Central. Families with luggage usually find a pre-booked car simplest after an eight-hour flight.
From Phuket, ferries run to Phi Phi and Krabi, and domestic flights go to Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Many visitors finish in Bangkok, where Suvarnabhumi has routes such as those on our Bangkok to Dhaka flights page. Jeddah's own routes are on pages such as Jeddah to Dhaka flights.
