Korean Air and Asiana Airlines fly nonstop from Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul to Phuket International Airport (HKT) in southern Thailand, with Korean Air taking over Asiana's flight from 17 December 2026. The 4,319 km flight takes about 5 hours 55 minutes and is one of the main beach routes for Korean travellers in winter.
Korean Air now runs the former Asiana daily A330
The airlines are merging. From 17 December 2026, Korean Air operates the former Asiana service, one flight a day on an Airbus A330-300, the same type Asiana flew. Check any Asiana booking for travel after that date. Both carriers are full-service, so a checked bag and meals are normally included.
Terminal 1 or 2 at Incheon before you board AREX
Korean Air uses Terminal 2 and most other airlines Terminal 1. The terminals are far apart, so check your booking before taking the AREX train or a limousine bus. The AREX express from Seoul Station takes under an hour.
Digital Arrival Card and Thailand's new 30-day rule
Entry rules for Thailand depend on your nationality, and every foreign visitor completes the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online within 72 hours before landing; our Thailand visa page has the details. On 15 September 2026 Thailand ended its 60-day visa exemption; passports from 60 countries and territories now get 30 days for tourism.
The airport is at the island's northern tip. AOT lists the Airport Bus Express to Patong Beach from the arrivals exit between 08:00 and 20:00, and an hourly bus to Phuket Town between 08:15 and 20:15. If you land after the buses stop, book a hotel transfer or take a taxi; allow about an hour to Patong or Kata. The Phuket Smart Bus runs from the domestic terminal along the west coast to Rawai in the daytime, and car rental counters are on the first floor.
Two hours back on landing; flying on via Bangkok
Turn your watch back two hours on landing (Korea is UTC+9, Thailand UTC+7). For onward trips, domestic flights link Phuket with Bangkok, where you can connect across Asia, for example to South Asia from Suvarnabhumi (see Bangkok to Dhaka flights).

Fly to Bangkok and connect there. If your domestic flight lands at Don Mueang and you leave from Suvarnabhumi, allow time to cross the city.
The AREX express train runs nonstop to Seoul Station, and the all-stop train is cheaper but slower. Airport limousine buses serve most districts.
