In short

Korean Air and Asiana Airlines fly nonstop from Phuket International Airport (HKT) in southern Thailand to Incheon International Airport (ICN) in Seoul, and from 17 December 2026 Korean Air takes over Asiana's flight. The 4,319 km trip takes about 5 hours 55 minutes and serves Korean holidaymakers returning home.

Korean Air takes over the Asiana flight on 17 December

Korean Air and Asiana are merging. As part of the winter 2026/27 schedule, Korean Air replaces Asiana on Seoul Incheon to Phuket from 17 December 2026, running one daily flight with an Airbus A330-300, the same aircraft type Asiana used. If you hold an Asiana booking after that date, check it with the airline. Both are full-service carriers, so checked bags and meals are normally included.

Bus times from Patong and Phuket Town, and late taxis

The airport is at the island's north end. AOT lists an Airport Bus Express from Patong Beach between 06:00 and 18:30 and an hourly bus from Phuket Town between 09:15 and 21:15. For departures after the buses stop, book a taxi or car. The Phuket Smart Bus serves the west coast through Kata, Karon and Kamala. Allow an hour or more by road and arrive about three hours before departure.

Incheon terminals, AREX train and the K-ETA

Incheon International Airport is on an island west of Seoul. Korean Air and its partners use Terminal 2, and most other airlines Terminal 1. The AREX express train reaches Seoul Station in under an hour.

Some visa-exempt visitors need a K-ETA before boarding. Apply only on the official K-ETA website or app; the fee is KRW 10,000 and decisions generally come within 72 hours. Check whether your passport needs one.

Korea runs two hours ahead of Thailand

Korea is two hours ahead of Thailand all year (UTC+9 against UTC+7). Travellers from elsewhere usually reach Phuket through Bangkok; see our Dhaka to Bangkok flights page for one example.
