Flying from Dubai to Bangkok

In short

Emirates and flydubai fly nonstop from Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Bangkok, Emirates into Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and flydubai into Don Mueang (DMK). The 4,904 km flight takes about 6 hours 40 minutes. Thailand is one of the most popular holidays for the UAE's residents, and Emirates also carries long-haul passengers connecting in Dubai from Europe and Africa.

Emirates all-in fares against flydubai extras

Emirates includes checked baggage, meals and entertainment. flydubai prices the seat alone and charges for bags, meals and seat selection. Families travelling in school holidays should compare the total with every bag added.

Terminals 2 and 3 and the Red Line to the airport

Emirates departs from Terminal 3 and flydubai mostly from Terminal 2. The Dubai Metro Red Line stops at Terminals 1 and 3; trains run from 05:00 to midnight Monday to Thursday and Saturday, to 01:00 on Friday night, and from 08:00 on Sunday. Terminal 2 has no metro stop, so a taxi is the usual way there.

TDAC and the 30-day exemption for UAE passports

Every non-Thai passenger completes the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before landing. It is free on tdac.immigration.go.th and opens three days before arrival.

UAE citizens are on Thailand's 30-day visa-exemption list from 15 September 2026, when the 60-day scheme ended. Most passengers on this route are expatriates travelling on other passports, so check your own category on the Thai e-Visa portal or on our Thailand visa page.

Emirates arrivals at SAT-1 and the Rail Link into town

Emirates' wide-body aircraft may park at SAT-1, linked to the main terminal by an automated train through a tunnel of about one kilometre. Suvarnabhumi lies about 25 km east of central Bangkok; the Airport Rail Link reaches Phaya Thai in about 27 minutes and meets the BTS Skytrain, and Makkasan links to the MRT Blue Line. Metered taxis and Grab wait outside arrivals, and bus 389 runs to Pattaya from Exit 8 on the first floor for 130 baht.

Where flydubai lands and the A1 and A2 buses

flydubai passengers arrive in the north of the city. The A1 bus runs via BTS Chatuchak to Mo Chit 2 from 06:50 to 23:59 and the A2 via Chatuchak to Victory Monument from 05:00 to 22:00, each for 30 baht from Gate 6 of the international terminal. The SRT Red Line runs from the airport to Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, where it meets the MRT Blue Line.

Minibus 555 to Suvarnabhumi for Dhaka flights

The Dhaka flights on Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways leave from Suvarnabhumi (see Bangkok to Dhaka flights). If you land at Don Mueang, minibus 555 crosses to Suvarnabhumi between 06:30 and 20:00 for up to 60 baht; leave plenty of time. Dubai also has its own nonstop flights to Bangladesh: see Dubai to Dhaka flights.
