Bangkok to Dubai flight guide
Both airlines fly nonstop from Bangkok to Dubai International Airport (DXB): Emirates from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and flydubai from Don Mueang (DMK). The 4,904 km flight takes about 6 hours 40 minutes. It links one of the world's largest expatriate communities with Thailand for holidays and business, and Emirates passengers also connect in Dubai to Europe, Africa and the Americas.
Emirates is full-service, with checked bags, meals and entertainment included. flydubai's lower fares cover the seat, and bags, meals and seat choice are added as needed. Over nearly seven hours, a family with suitcases may find the gap small once extras are counted.
Emirates leaves from Suvarnabhumi, 27 minutes from Phaya Thai on the Airport Rail Link. Its wide-body jets may use SAT-1, the satellite concourse with eight Code F gates for the A380, reached by an automated train through a tunnel of about one kilometre.
flydubai leaves from Don Mueang in the north. The A1 bus from Mo Chit 2 via BTS Chatuchak and the A2 from Victory Monument cost 30 baht, and the SRT Red Line serves the airport from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, with trains from about 05:00 to 23:45.
Emirates uses Terminal 3 at Dubai International, and flydubai mostly Terminal 2. Check your booking before arranging a pickup.
The Dubai Metro Red Line has stations at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, and Red Line passes are sold at ticket offices and machines in both. Trains run from 05:00 to midnight Monday to Thursday and on Saturday, from 05:00 to 01:00 on Friday, and from 08:00 to midnight on Sunday. Terminal 2 has no metro station, so flydubai passengers usually take a taxi. Taxis run from every terminal.
Entry rules depend on nationality. Residents need a valid Emirates ID and residence visa, and visitors should check official UAE channels or our UAE visa page before booking.
Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways land at Suvarnabhumi from Dhaka (see our Dhaka to Bangkok flights page), the same airport as Emirates. A flydubai flight from Don Mueang means crossing the city and checking in again, so leave at least four hours; minibus 555 links the airports for up to 60 baht between 06:30 and 20:00. Dhaka also has nonstop flights of its own: see Dhaka to Dubai flights.

Yes. Fly Dhaka to Bangkok on Biman, US-Bangla or Thai Airways, all of which land at Suvarnabhumi, then take one of the Dubai flights. What's included
It depends on the airline. flydubai is a low-cost carrier whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
Visa & documents
They depend on your nationality. Residents need a valid Emirates ID and residence visa; visitors should check official UAE channels or our UAE visa page before booking.
Stay & facilities
On the full-service airlines, request a Muslim (halal) meal when you book or at least 24 hours before departure through the airline's manage-booking page. On flydubai, meals are bought online or on board; check the menu for halal options.
