Hat Yai to Singapore flight guide
Scoot flies nonstop from Hat Yai International Airport (HDY) in southern Thailand to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). The 737 km trip takes about 1 hour 25 minutes. For Hat Yai, Songkhla and the rest of Thailand's deep south, it is far quicker than travelling back through Bangkok, and it is the main air link between the region and Singapore.
Scoot is the only airline on the route. In May 2024 it moved the Hat Yai flights to its new Embraer E190-E2 jets and raised the schedule from seven to ten flights a week. Check the search above for the current timetable.
Scoot is a low-cost airline. The basic fare covers a cabin bag only; checked baggage, meals and seats cost extra, and they are cheaper when added online.
Airports of Thailand lists three budget ways to the airport from the city. A 60-baht minibus runs daily from 06:00 to 23:30, with stops including Kim Yong Market, Central Festival, Prince of Songkla University and the bus terminal. A flexible minibus charges 20 to 30 baht a person and stops about 100 metres from the terminal, suited to light luggage. The airport van costs 100 baht. One terminal handles domestic and international flights, and Airports of Thailand asks passengers to arrive at least two hours before departure.
Scoot has used Terminal 1 at Changi since 2019. From Changi Airport MRT station, ride to Tanah Merah and change for the East West Line into the city, or change at Expo for the Downtown Line. The first train runs at 05:31 (05:59 on Sundays and public holidays). Taxi stands are at every terminal; the ride to the city takes about 30 minutes and costs S$25 to S$45 on the meter plus an airport surcharge.
All travellers entering Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card within three days before arrival. It is free on the ICA website, and ICA warns against third-party sites that charge a fee. Visa requirements depend on nationality: see our Singapore visa page.
Hat Yai has no flights to Dhaka, so travellers from South Asia usually reach it through Bangkok (see Dhaka to Bangkok flights). Dhaka also has direct flights to Singapore: see Dhaka to Singapore flights.
