Etihad Airways flies nonstop from Krabi International Airport (KBV) in southern Thailand to Zayed International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi. The 5,041 km flight takes about 6 hours 50 minutes. It is the only direct link from Krabi to the Gulf, useful for UAE residents going home and for travellers connecting through Abu Dhabi to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Etihad rises to twice daily from 16 December 2026
Etihad Airways is the only airline on the route, and its timetable follows the seasons. For winter 2026/27 the airline planned to raise Abu Dhabi to Krabi from 8 to 10 weekly flights from 26 October 2026 and to 14 a week, twice daily, from 16 December 2026. The published winter timings from Krabi were EY423 at 08:40, landing in Abu Dhabi at 12:50, and EY425 at 20:40, landing just before 01:00. Summer schedules are thinner, so check your dates in the search above.
Etihad is a full-service airline. Economy fares normally include a checked bag and meals, and the allowance is printed on your ticket. Muslim (halal) and other special meals can be requested at least 24 hours before departure.
Ao Nang taxi, or the long-tail boat from Railay
Krabi International Airport is east of Krabi Town, about 40 minutes by road from Ao Nang. From Railay, add the long-tail boat to Ao Nang beach, which depends on tides and sea conditions. Domestic and international flights use the same terminal complex, with immigration on the international side. The morning departure means leaving Ao Nang around 05:30; the evening flight is easier after a last beach day.
Zayed International's new Terminal A
Zayed International Airport (formerly Abu Dhabi International) handles all flights in its new Terminal A. The city centre is about 30 km away by taxi or bus. Passengers connecting to another Etihad flight stay airside in Terminal A.
Visa on arrival, visa-free or arranged in advance
