Krabi to Mumbai flight guide
IndiGo flies nonstop from Krabi International Airport (KBV) in southern Thailand to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai. The 3,070 km flight takes about 4 hours 20 minutes. It is the most direct way home for Indian travellers after a holiday in Ao Nang, Railay or the Phi Phi islands, and it saves the road trip to Phuket or a domestic flight to Bangkok.
IndiGo is the only airline on the route. It added Krabi in spring 2025 as its third Thai destination after Bangkok and Phuket, with daily flights from Mumbai and from Bengaluru. At that point the airline was running more than 95 flights a week between India and Thailand. Check the search above for the current timetable, as departure times shift between seasons.
IndiGo is a low-cost airline. The basic fare includes a cabin bag, and checked luggage is an extra you add online. Meals and drinks are sold on board or pre-ordered when booking. A family carrying beach gear should add bags at the time of booking, when the price is lower than at the counter.
Krabi International Airport is east of Krabi Town on the main road. Ao Nang, where most visitors stay, is roughly 40 minutes away by taxi or shared minivan. If you are coming back from Railay, add the long-tail boat ride to Ao Nang beach, which depends on tides and sea conditions, and leave a margin. Domestic and international flights share one terminal complex, with immigration on the international side.
International flights at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport use Terminal 2 in Sahar, Andheri East. South Mumbai is 25 to 30 km away, which takes an hour or more in traffic. App cabs and prepaid taxis run from the arrivals level. For western suburbs such as Bandra or Juhu, the trip is shorter.
Indian citizens returning home clear immigration at Terminal 2. Travellers of other nationalities need an Indian visa or e-visa arranged before departure, as rules depend on the passport.
Indian passport holders are on the list of 60 countries and territories that can stay in Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days, under rules in force since 15 September 2026. The earlier 60-day exemption no longer applies, so plan longer trips with a visa. Every foreign visitor also completes the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card on tdac.immigration.go.th, which opens three days before travel.
Krabi has no flights to Dhaka, so travellers from Dhaka reach it through Bangkok (see Dhaka to Bangkok flights). Dhaka and Mumbai are linked directly: see Dhaka to Mumbai flights and Mumbai to Dhaka flights.
