Flying from Singapore to Koh Samui

Scoot runs the only nonstop flight from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) to Samui International Airport (USM) on Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand. The 1,008 km flight takes about 1 hour 45 minutes. It suits a long weekend from Singapore and lands within 20 minutes of Chaweng and Bophut beaches.
Scoot's E190-E2 flight, launched 13 May 2024
Scoot launched Singapore to Koh Samui on 13 May 2024. It was one of the first routes for the airline's Embraer E190-E2, a smaller jet in its fleet. Scoot flew daily at the start and planned to go twice daily from early June 2024. Check current days in the search above.
The basic Scoot fare includes a cabin bag only. Add checked luggage, seats and meals online before you fly, where they are cheaper than at the counter.
Terminal 1 by MRT via Tanah Merah
Scoot has operated from Terminal 1 since 2019, and the free Skytrain links Terminals 1, 2 and 3. By MRT, ride the East West Line to Tanah Merah and change for Changi Airport station; trains to the airport start early enough for morning flights. Taxis reach Changi from the city in about 30 minutes, with fares of roughly S$25 to S$45 on the meter. Public buses 24, 27, 34, 36, 53, 110 and 858 stop in the basement of Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
Chaweng and Bophut 10 to 20 minutes away
Samui International Airport sits in the north-east corner of the island. Bangkok Airways built and runs it, and its open-air terminals keep international arrivals apart from domestic passengers. After immigration, Chaweng and Bophut are 10 to 20 minutes away by taxi or hotel transfer. Lamai and the west-coast resorts take longer.
30 days visa-free for Singapore citizens
Singapore citizens can stay in Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days. Singapore is on the 30-day exemption list that took effect on 15 September 2026, replacing the 60-day scheme. Residents of Singapore with other passports should check our Thailand visa page.
Every foreign visitor also files the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online before landing. It is free and opens three days before your travel date at tdac.immigration.go.th.
