Biman added Toronto to its network on 27 July 2022, and the Rome stop returned in 2024. The 787-9 has 298 seats, and on a trip of nearly a full day the aisle and window seats go first, so choose yours as soon as booking opens. The checked allowance is 46 kg with 7 kg in the cabin. Ask Biman when you book whether that 46 kg is one bag or two, and whether passengers stay on board during the Rome stop; check too whether your passport needs any transit paperwork for Italy.
Canadian eTA or visitor visa
Canada's rules depend on nationality. Visa-exempt travellers flying in need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). Others, including Bangladeshi citizens, need a Canadian visitor visa or another valid Canadian status before they fly, and give biometrics, a photo and fingerprints, as part of the application; children under 14 and applicants over 79 are exempt. Carry a passport valid for at least six months.
UP Express from Pearson to Union Station
Pearson lies mostly in Mississauga, about 20 km north-west of downtown Toronto. The UP Express train leaves from Terminal 1 every 15 minutes, calls at Weston, Mount Dennis and Bloor, and reaches Union Station in about 28 minutes. It runs from early morning until just before 1 am, so a later arrival means a taxi or ride-hailing car. The free Terminal Link train connects Terminals 1 and 3 around the clock. Hotels near Union Station keep the airport one train ride away for the trip home.
Toronto is ten hours behind Dhaka in the Canadian summer and eleven in winter, so despite the long journey you usually land on the same calendar date you left.
