Flying from Dhaka to Jashore
In short
Flights from Dhaka to Jashore take about 45 minutes from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) to Jashore Airport (JSR), nonstop over 146 km. US-Bangla Airlines and Biman Bangladesh Airlines fly the route. Jashore is the only operational airport in Khulna Division, so the flight also serves Khulna and the Benapole border crossing into India.
Flights are not daily. US-Bangla's ATR 72-600 operates on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with BS121 at 09:30 and BS129 at 17:20. Biman's Dash 8-400 flies BG467 at 19:00 on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Between them there is a flight six days a week and none on Mondays, so plan Monday trips by road or rail.
Both airlines include 20 kg of checked baggage. The airport at Arabpur, about 6 km west of the town centre, shares its runway with the Bangladesh Air Force's Matiur Rahman base, and a new passenger terminal opened in July 2023. Expect a rickshaw, CNG or hotel car for the last stretch into town.
Since December 2024 trains have run from Dhaka to Jashore and Benapole over the Padma Bridge, so the flight now competes with rail as well as buses. In winter, before Valentine's Day and Pohela Falgun, it is worth the short drive out to Godkhali, about 18 km west of town on the Benapole road, where most of Bangladesh's cut flowers are traded.
The flight is domestic. Bangladeshi citizens check in with a National ID card and foreign visitors with a passport.

Yes. Khulna has no operating airport, so business travellers and families heading there fly into Jashore and finish the trip by road. Book a car with your hotel or company before you land, as the highway drive takes a while.
