Dhaka to Riyadh flight guide
Multiple airlines fly nonstop from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka (DAC) to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh (RUH): Saudia, Riyadh Air, Biman Bangladesh Airlines and US-Bangla Airlines. The 4,408 km flight takes about 6 hours 15 minutes. Saudi Arabia takes more Bangladeshi migrant workers than any other country, and this route carries many of them, alongside business travellers.
Biman's Boeing 777-300ER has 419 seats, Saudia's 777-300ER about 360. Riyadh Air, owned by the kingdom's Public Investment Fund and based at King Khalid, began commercial flying on 26 October 2025 with Boeing 787-9s of about 290 seats, and announced its Dhaka plans in June 2026. Biman and US-Bangla include 30 kg of checked baggage, Saudia and Riyadh Air 23 kg, all with 7 kg in the cabin. For a long contract the extra 7 kg counts; on the Saudi airlines, buy extra weight before the day.
Saudia and Riyadh Air bring international flights into Terminal 2. Foreign carriers, including Biman and US-Bangla, use Terminal 5. Saudia's domestic flights leave from Terminal 4, and flynas and flyadeal use Terminals 1 and 3. Tell whoever is meeting you which arrivals hall to wait at.
Workers need their employment visa before boarding and should keep contract papers in hand luggage. Visitors check Saudi Arabia's official visa platform, since eligibility for tourist e-visas depends on nationality. Every traveller needs a passport valid for at least six months.
King Khalid International lies about 35 km north of the city. Since December 2024, Line 4 of the Riyadh Metro has stopped at the airport, with stations at Airport T1-2, T3-4 and T5, a cheaper way into town than a taxi if you are travelling light. The Royal Mosque at the centre of the airport holds about 5,000 worshippers indoors, useful for anyone landing at prayer time. Riyadh keeps UTC+3, three hours behind Dhaka.
Four airlines operate direct flights from Dhaka (DAC) to Riyadh (RUH). The flight takes about 6h 15m.

The airline began commercial flying on 26 October 2025 with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, seven of them in service and 40 more ordered. It announced its Dhaka plans in June 2026, which makes it the newest option on this route.
Yes. Biman's Boeing 777-300ER has 419 seats. Saudia's 777-300ER has about 360 and Riyadh Air's 787-9 about 290. More seats per flight can make a difference when you are booking close to departure.
You change buildings. Saudia's domestic flights use Terminal 4, while its international arrivals come into Terminal 2. Leave enough time for immigration, baggage reclaim and the transfer before your onward departure.
Their international flights use Terminal 1 and their domestic flights Terminal 3. If you plan to continue to another Saudi city on one of these airlines, check which terminal your onward ticket shows.
It can be tight. Biman and US-Bangla give 30 kg, which leaves more room for a long stay. If you prefer the Saudi airlines, arrange extra weight before the day of departure.
Getting there
Yes. The Royal Mosque stands at the centre of the airport inside its own plaza, with room for about 5,000 worshippers indoors and 4,000 more outside. Pilgrims and workers arriving at prayer time can use it before leaving the airport.
The hotel under Where to stay is a luxury option in the Kingdom Centre tower. It suits business travellers more than workers heading straight to employer housing.
