Air China flies nonstop from Phuket International Airport (HKT) in southern Thailand to Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). The 3,991 km flight takes about 5 hours 30 minutes on the way north, and with up to three departures a day in winter 2026/27 it is one of Phuket's busiest long routes to China.
Air China is the only airline on the route. It is a full-service airline, so a checked bag and a meal are normally part of the fare. Special meals, including Muslim meals, can be ordered at least 24 hours ahead.
Air China's third daily flight from 16 November
Air China has added a third daily Phuket flight from 16 November 2026 to 20 February 2027, except Sundays. The schedule gives three choices. CA692 leaves Phuket in the afternoon (15:45 or 16:15 depending on the day) and reaches Beijing around 22:10 to 22:40, on a Boeing 737 MAX 8. CA822 leaves at 18:25 and lands at 00:50, on an Airbus A330-300. CA798 is the late flight, leaving at 22:50 and arriving at 05:15, on a 737 MAX 8. The widebody A330 has more space for a flight this long.
A taxi for the 22:50 departure from Phuket
The airport is at the north end of the island. AOT lists an Airport Bus Express from Patong Beach to the airport between 06:00 and 18:30 and an hourly bus from Phuket Town between 09:15 and 21:15. For the 22:50 flight you will need a taxi or pre-booked car. The Phuket Smart Bus serves the west-coast beaches. Allow an hour or more by road from Patong or Kata and arrive about three hours before departure.
Capital airport, Dongzhimen and the Daxing mix-up
Beijing Capital is north-east of the city. The Capital Airport Express train runs to Dongzhimen, where it meets the subway, and taxis queue outside each terminal. Daxing (PKX) is a separate airport far to the south, so make sure onward flights leave from Capital. China's entry rules vary by passport; check with the Chinese embassy that covers your country.
Clocks forward an hour and direct Dhaka links
Clocks go forward one hour on landing (Thailand UTC+7, China UTC+8). Travellers starting elsewhere in Asia often reach Phuket through Bangkok (see our Dhaka to Bangkok flights page), and Beijing has its own direct services, such as Dhaka to Beijing Capital flights.
