Phuket to Singapore flight guide
Phuket to Singapore is a nonstop flight of about 1 hour 45 minutes and 979 km from Phuket International Airport (HKT) to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). Scoot, Singapore Airlines and Thai Lion Air fly it, so there is a choice of full-service and low-cost seats on one of the busiest short-haul links out of the island.
Singapore Airlines is full-service, with a checked bag and a meal normally in the fare. Scoot, Singapore Airlines' low-cost sister, and Thai Lion Air sell a basic fare with a cabin bag only and charge for checked luggage, seats and food. For a weekend away with hand luggage, the low-cost fares are hard to beat; with a suitcase, compare totals.
Booking Singapore Airlines or Scoot also opens Changi connections on the same ticket, with bags checked through to your final stop.
The airport is at the north end of Phuket. Allow about an hour from Patong, Kata or Karon. Airports of Thailand lists the Airport Bus Express from Patong via Kathu, leaving Patong between 6 am and 6:30 pm, an hourly bus from Phuket Town's old bus station from 9:15 am to 9:15 pm, and the Phuket Smart Bus along the west-coast beaches. After the buses stop, use a taxi or book a transfer.
The international terminal stands next to the domestic one. Rental car returns are on the first floor, and the Airports of Thailand call centre (1722) can help with transport questions.
Changi has four terminals plus the Jewel complex, linked by the Skytrain. Your ticket shows the arrival terminal.
From Changi Airport MRT station (CG2), ride to Tanah Merah and change to the East West Line towards Tuas Link for the city, or change at Expo for the Downtown Line. The first train is at 5:31 am (5:59 am on Sundays and public holidays) and the last connection towards the city at 11:18 pm.
Taxis queue in the arrival halls of all four terminals, 24 hours a day. Changi Airport puts the trip to the city at about 30 minutes and S$25 to S$45 on the meter, plus an airport surcharge of S$6, or S$8 from 5 pm to midnight. Public buses 24, 27, 34, 36, 53, 110 and 858 also serve the terminals; pay with a contactless card or exact cash.
Everyone clearing immigration in Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card within the three days before arrival, counting the arrival day. It is free on the ICA website or the MyICA app, and ICA warns against paid agents. Passengers who transit without passing immigration are exempt. For visa needs by nationality, see our Singapore visa page.
Singapore is one hour ahead of Thailand (UTC+8 against UTC+7) all year. The flight takes under two hours, but the clock moves almost three.
Phuket's dry season runs from about November to April. Singapore is warm and humid all year, with heavier rain from November to January.
For the return, every non-Thai national files the Thailand Digital Arrival Card online at tdac.immigration.go.th within three days before landing. Royal Thai Embassy guidance says immigration will not process an arrival without it. At HKT, the Airport Bus Express to Patong runs from 8 am to 8 pm and the hourly bus to Phuket Town from 8:15 am to 8:15 pm.
Changi has nonstop flights across Asia, to Australia, Europe and North America. Our Dhaka to Singapore flights page covers one South Asian route; the Dhaka to Bangkok flights page shows the main route into Thailand from that region.
Fares climb over Singapore's school holidays in June and December and around Chinese New Year, when many residents head for Phuket, so book the return early if you are travelling against that flow.

Board at Changi Airport (CG2), ride to Tanah Merah and change to the East West Line towards Tuas Link. The last connection towards the city leaves at 11:18 pm.
General
The clock moves one hour forward from Thai time (Thailand is UTC+7). Neither side uses daylight saving, so the gap stays the same all year.
What's included
It depends on the airline. Scoot and Thai Lion Air are low-cost carriers whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
Stay & facilities
On the full-service airlines, request a Muslim (halal) meal when you book or at least 24 hours before departure through the airline's manage-booking page. On Scoot and Thai Lion Air, meals are bought online or on board; check the menu for halal options.
