Bangkok to Singapore flight guide
A number of airlines fly nonstop from Bangkok to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN): Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International and Scoot from Suvarnabhumi (BKK), and Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air from Don Mueang (DMK). The 1,416 km flight takes about 2 hours 15 minutes. It is one of Southeast Asia's busiest business and leisure routes, and a common way to see two countries on one trip.
Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways include a checked bag and meal in the fare. Scoot, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air sell the seat on its own, with bags, food and seat selection as extras. With so many flights, it pays to compare the total cost for your own luggage.
Suvarnabhumi is about 25 km east of central Bangkok, 27 minutes from Phaya Thai on the Airport Rail Link. Some flights board at SAT-1, reached from the main terminal by an automated train through a tunnel of about one kilometre.
Don Mueang is in the north. The A1 airport bus starts at Mo Chit 2 and stops at BTS Chatuchak; the A2 starts at Victory Monument; both cost 30 baht. The SRT Red Line also reaches the airport from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal, with scheduled trains from about 05:00 to 23:45.
Almost every traveller entering Singapore must submit the SG Arrival Card with its electronic health declaration before arrival. You can file it within three days before arrival, counting the arrival day, so for a 30 June arrival you may submit from 28 June. It is free through the ICA e-service or the MyICA Mobile app; ignore commercial sites that charge a fee. Passengers transferring at Changi without clearing immigration do not need one.
Visa requirements depend on nationality, so check the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website or our Singapore visa page before booking.
Changi has four terminals, and your ticket shows which one your airline uses. Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are linked by the airport's Skytrain, and the Jewel complex connects to Terminals 1 to 4 through the airport's transfer routes. The MRT reaches the city in about 30 to 40 minutes, and taxis and Grab queue outside every terminal.
Travellers arriving in Bangkok from Dhaka on Biman, US-Bangla or Thai Airways land at Suvarnabhumi (see our Dhaka to Bangkok flights page), the same airport as the Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and Scoot departures. A Don Mueang flight means crossing Bangkok and checking in again; minibus 555 links the airports for up to 60 baht between 06:30 and 20:00, but leave at least four hours. Dhaka also has nonstop flights of its own to Changi: see Dhaka to Singapore flights.

Practical points for booking this route.
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) are far apart. Low-cost flights on this route use Don Mueang, so match the airport to your hotel or connecting flight before you pay.
Scoot, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air charge for checked baggage. It is cheaper added online at booking than at the airport.

About 2 hours 15 minutes in the air. The two airports are 1,416 km apart in a straight line; actual times vary a little by airline, aircraft and wind.
Both. Several airlines use Suvarnabhumi (BKK); two use Don Mueang (DMK). The airports are on opposite sides of the city, so check the code on your ticket.
Changi has four terminals linked by the Skytrain. The MRT reaches the city in about 30 to 40 minutes, and taxis and Grab queue outside every terminal; your ticket shows which terminal your airline uses.
Yes, Singapore also has its own flights from Dhaka; see Dhaka to Singapore flights. Flying via Bangkok makes sense when you want a stopover in Thailand on the way.
It depends on the airline: Changi has four terminals and airlines move between them. Your booking shows the terminal; the free Skytrain links Terminals 1, 2 and 3.
General
The clock moves one hour forward from Thai time (Thailand is UTC+7). Neither side uses daylight saving, so the gap stays the same all year.
Yes. Fly Dhaka to Bangkok on Biman, US-Bangla or Thai Airways, all of which land at Suvarnabhumi, then take one of the Singapore flights. Booking both legs on one Thai Airways ticket, where available, keeps you airside with your bag checked through. Two separate tickets mean clearing Thai immigration, which needs a Thai visa.
What's included
It depends on the airline. Scoot, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air are low-cost carriers whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
Visa & documents
Visa requirements depend on your nationality; check the ICA website before booking. Almost every arriving traveller also submits the free SG Arrival Card within three days before arrival.
Stay & facilities
On the full-service airlines, request a Muslim (halal) meal when you book or at least 24 hours before departure through the airline's manage-booking page. On Scoot, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air, meals are bought online or on board; check the menu for halal options.
Prices & payment
Within three days before arrival, counting the arrival day. For a 30 June arrival you can submit from 28 June. It is free on the ICA e-service or the MyICA Mobile app.
