China Airlines, Starlux and Thai against the low-cost three
China Airlines, Starlux and Thai Airways include checked bags and meals. Thai VietJet Air, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air price the seat alone and charge for bags, food and seat choice. Workers carrying a full year's belongings should compare totals with hold baggage included.
SAT-1 gates at Suvarnabhumi and buses to Don Mueang
Suvarnabhumi is 27 minutes from Phaya Thai on the Airport Rail Link; some gates are in the SAT-1 concourse, reached by an automated train in about three minutes. Don Mueang is in the north: the A1 bus from Mo Chit 2 and BTS Chatuchak and the A2 from Victory Monument cost 30 baht, and the SRT Red Line runs from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal.
Taiwan Arrival Card and its seven-day window
Since 1 October 2025 every inbound traveller has completed the Taiwan Arrival Card (TWAC) online, which replaced the paper form. In July 2026 the National Immigration Agency widened the filing window from three days to seven days before arrival. The form is free on the official site, twac.immigration.go.tw, and the agency has warned about lookalike sites that charge.

Taoyuan Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station
Taoyuan International Airport is about 40 km west of Taipei. The Taoyuan Airport MRT runs from the airport stations (A12 at Terminal 1 and A13 at Terminal 2) to Taipei Main Station. Express trains take about 39 minutes from Terminal 2 into the city, and commuter trains around 50 minutes; at Taipei Main Station a train leaves roughly every seven minutes during service hours. Check which terminal your airline uses before you set off on the return.
Making the Dhaka connection at Suvarnabhumi
Biman, US-Bangla and Thai Airways land at Suvarnabhumi from Dhaka (see our Dhaka to Bangkok flights page), the same airport as four of the Taipei airlines. A Don Mueang flight means crossing Bangkok and checking in again, so leave at least four hours; minibus 555 links the two airports for up to 60 baht between 06:30 and 20:00.

Yes. Fly Dhaka to Bangkok on Biman, US-Bangla or Thai Airways, all of which land at Suvarnabhumi, then take one of the Taipei flights. Booking both legs on one Thai Airways ticket, where available, keeps you airside with your bag checked through. Two separate tickets mean clearing Thai immigration, which needs a Thai visa.

It depends on the airline. Thai VietJet Air, Thai AirAsia and Thai Lion Air are low-cost carriers whose basic fares include only a cabin bag, so add checked baggage when you book. The full-service airlines normally include a checked bag; the allowance is shown on your booking.
